LAST SUNDAY Guys!! Don't miss tomorrow night's class! It's our last Sunday class! Sundays just haven't been full enough for me to justify paying for the studio space so it's being eighty-sixed from the schedule. I'm sorry for the couple of people who came every Sunday religiously, they're the only people that get to voice their disappointment otherwise, save your drama for your llama! But fret not, all weeknight classes remain the same as well as Saturday mornings! Let's go out with a BANG tomorrow night! 7pm is the hour! Bring a friend, get in free!!

You guys!! My beautiful friend @the_sault_house makes the most beautiful handmade jewelry and made these amazing blush pink fan earrings! I'll be wearing another pair of tri-colored red tassel earrings tonight that she made! She'll be adding items to her Etsy shop as she completes them, but go check her out (I believe she has a post a while back that says "new items listed" and you can swipe through to see how ridiculously talented she is). Just a fair warning though, I usually swoop on her new pieces like, 2.2 seconds after she posts them 🤷🏼♀️ #FanGirl

Sometimes it helps to not look at the big picture. That can be overwhelming. Start smaller than that. Set an achievable goal like getting out the door. I think I'm literally saying "cheeeeeeese" in this picture 🤦🏼♀️ Whoa nelly we did the damn thing tonight! You know what cool thought I had tonight driving home? When people come to your class that originally came with a friend or family member in the beginning, but feel comfortable enough to come by themselves. I love that people feel comfortable in this community of strong, supportive gals. I love it almost as much as I love burpees.

And let me just leave a gentle, friendly reminder that I base my schedule around attendance. So if attendance is paltry the rest of this month, I'm going to pull back a couple days a week until class size is built back up. Seems everyone wants more days and times, then I give the people what they want, and then *crickets* 🤷🏼♀️ Just planting that seed so no one is caught off guard if our schedule is peeled back going forward. Now back to the fun part......let's party tonight! It's chilly, it's rainy, ima warm ya up!

This is just one example of her awesome videos, but scroll through her account and nab some ideas for some at home workouts that will keep your endurance up for HGH. I love that she does HIIT, stability, toning, resistance, etc. You can pick your poison! I'm going to be waking up early tomorrow before the boys and getting in a looooong walk on the beach, and then some of the resistance training from this account. Me like when leaf go boom I woke up this morning to a chilly house and cold hardwoods and my heart couldn't be happier! Reminder that we have NO CLASSES this weekend! I'll be taking a much needed vacation with my favorite people, returning on Tuesday rested, reinvigorated, and ready to ROCK at 8pm in the big room at @riotdancecenter 🏼 I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend. This was me tonight. Bluetooth issues? Yep! Awkward directional issues? You betcha! You guys are such rockstars! Thanks for killing it anyway! The GOOD news is 1) now that we've connected to every stereo in the studio, we should never have pairing issues again AND 2) we only have ONE more class (next Thursday) without mirrors (we're in our other rooms the other days)!! WHOOP! After that all 3 rooms will have mirrors and all our music will be bumpin'! First world probs, amirite?! Have a GREAT weekend!

True story: when I walked into my first HGH class as a participant, I couldn't get through more than 2 songs without having to take a long break off to the side of the room. That's roughly 7-8 minutes or so of the hour long class! I was so winded, out of shape, didn't know what to do with my feet, couldn't keep up. But I felt an energy I hadn't experienced before. Something in my brain told me it was going to "click" for me if I just KEPT AT IT. And we all know how the story ends If you are one to beat yourself up after a new song, or coming to class and not knowing what to do with your arms or legs, or you still get winded after months of coming (guess what....I still get winded!) don't give up on yourself! Find something tangible to hold onto when the enemy is telling you you can't do it. Maybe it's the escape, maybe it's the music, maybe it's the community, maybe it's the challenge, maybe it's the feeling you get when I yell out "You did it! You're done!" at the end of class! Whatever it is, find it, take that first scary step, and we'll be waiting with open arms! (Ugh that came across very cult-ish...oh well c'est la vie! )

If you're constantly trying to prove yourself to someone, convince them of your worth, convince them you're funny enough, or soft enough, or strong enough, or clever enough, or pretty enough, or ___________ enough....IT'S TIME TO CUT THEM LOOSE. We can't control how others feel about us, and the negative ones are going to find something bad about everyone they meet, not just you. You are not required to keep negative people around just because you've known them for "x" number of years! As my mom would say "take it as a personal compliment and move on with your life!" #Boundaries

Maybe you've fallen out of the groove of working out regularly (we've all been there). Maybe you've lost your Punch Pass and you think you can't come back to class because you can't find it (guess what, I'll give you a brand new one). Maybe you haven't been in weeks/months and you're finding it hard to take step 1 again. Maybe you need a gentle nudge or maybe you need a serious kick in the rump (I can do both, just let me know what you prefer!) Maybe you are sick of my face (I can wear a mask). The longer you put off starting again, the harder it's going to be. If you were coming regularly to class, all fired up, excited to make your health a priority, and now you're on the opposite of the spectrum, I want you to remember how good it felt to move your body. Remember how good you felt when you challenged yourself and realized you could do hard things!
Prove everyone wrong. Prove all the people wrong that exercise wasn't just a phase for you. Start back up stronger than ever! Prove to YOURSELF that you are worth the effort. You are! I think a lot of us need to re-stoke that fire and press the restart button If you've been missing from class for more than a couple weeks, I want you to know that you are so missed! I would never dream of calling anyone out individually, so just know that we miss seeing your face around our little community! These are all the chances this coming week starting TOMORROW that you have to make your comeback!! Plan, strategize, and re-stoke your fire! •

Such a fun class this morning!! For my money there's just nothing better than getting in a great workout early on, getting home for a hot shower, then having the rest of your day to get stuff done (or drink coffee on the couch!)
