Summer is the time for abundant harvest! It's the high season for buying produce, too, but we need to be more careful about spoilage because of the heat. It's been a pleasure to share ideas on how to reduce food waste at the #JoyOfFeeding@ubcfarm. Kin's Junior Chef Ambassador @ssinow baked Apple Muffins made with Apple pulp from the juicer and Fruit Leather made with overripe fruits (mangoes, peaches, nectarines and strawberries). We also served refreshing infused water using the whole fruit (strawberries, apples and lemons).
