The kids first time eating Hibachi! Josie was thoroughly confused by the "frying pan table" and Ben kept looking at his soup asking, "Where the food in my soup?" (which I have always wondered myself). Overall, it was a success!

"I am a bit of a recovering control freak. For me, living open handed is a struggle. When I think about it, you can't think you can gain control of things by thinking they are better in my hands than in the Lord's. When I think about everything He's done and how faithful He's been in my life, it seems the most rational thing to do is to release every hard thing and every big struggle and little detail and surrender those things to Him. "Faith really is living life with open hands and saying, 'Lord, I'm going to choose to trust you.' I'm no longer going to live with anxiety. I'm no longer going to live in bitterness over my story looking different that I thought. I'm going to open my hands … not just to let go of all these things, but to be ready to accept the new thing that God has for us, and all of the blessings that come through just walking in faith."
