Video by @joelsartore | A pair of rescued baby Indochinese silvered langurs at the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (@ACCB_cambodia) in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Babies of this species are born bright orange and then eventually change to a darker color. The population of this endangered primate is in severe decline due to logging, poaching and the illegal pet trade, with more than half of their population disappearing in recent decades. The infants are often captured in the wild and sold as pets, then given away to wildlife rescue centers like the ACCB once people realize they can't care for them.
At the ACCB, young rescued animals like these receive help learning and developing the skills needed to survive in the wild. The goal is that one day they may be released back into their natural habitat to live free.
