Delighted to see my work on the Lewis Glacier featured at the f2 Fotofestival in Dortmund (from 22 June to 16 July). Here, from that series, a visualization using fire of the receding Lewis Glacier on Mt. Kenya. A mapping of “time’s thickness” by pyrographically documenting glacial retreat. Using long exposures made in the middle of the night, the resultant images stem from the simple act of walking with a flaming torch along the glacier’s previous boundaries ...Thanks to @projectpressure for getting me thinking about climate change and providing help and data.
