A great white shark shadows a Guadalupe fur seal near Guadalupe Mexico. Guadalupe Island located 240 km west of Baja, is the only known breeding colony of this seal species and a declared pinniped sanctuary as of 1975. The Guadalupe fur seal population was hunted to near extinction until only a few dozen survived but now their numbers approach 20,000 seals attracting steady populations of great white sharks. This unsuspecting seal looks in grave danger but won the day with acrobatic twists and turns. // With @natgeo @natgeocreative @ThePhotoSociety // #Ocean #Shark #GreatWhiteShark #Seal #Predator #Guadalupe #Mexico #Extreme #PhotoOfTheDay
