Photo by @christian_foto ( Christian Rodriguez )on assignment for @natgeo in the Bolivian Amazon. Portrait of Soria Juan Crizolomo Ticumani. He belong to ESSE EJJA people and live in Madidi National Park in Bolivia. Indigenous groups in the region are permitted to hunt solely for their own food supply, though the Jaguar is a protected species. Indigenous communities, such as the ESSE EJJA, are nomads who live off the fish and game they hunt themselves. Chinese presence in the region has expanded due to the growth of factories and contracts that the government has produced with construction companies. Poachers in the region have increased to further illegal jaguar hunting; they will sell the head and various parts of the animal. In the Tuichi River region, the jaguar population has decreased significantly. #hunter#amazon#Bolivia Video by @christian_foto on assignment for @natgeo
