There's a new soda on tap! Head over to @methodicalcoffee to try our new Yuzu soda. Yuzu is a Japanese citrus reminiscent of grapefruit and lemon. Complex and aromatic, light and refreshing, it's the perfect drink for summer. #yuzu#ゆず
Here's to small beginnings 🥂
Coffee cocktail in the works
Finally got this little beauty put back together after many years. She's been in the shop with a cracked boiler, but after some intense welding she is as good as new. Espresso, we'd like you to meet Swordfish Cocktails

On the hunt for that tropical produce
Getting this party started
Very thankful for this weekend and everything it represents. Since it definitely feels like the brink of summer here in the south, we are going tropical as we celebrate. We're predicting a vibrant season of island fever with drinks this year, so bring on the bright colors, exotic flavors, and refreshing nectars that will make this southern summer worthwhile. More importantly, here's to our our fallen servicemen and women--may we honor your sacrifice by enjoying the fruit of every season and taking the time to celebrate living. Happy Memorial Day!

May the devil cut the toes off all our foes, that we may know them by their limping. -- Irish toast
"This is the world that Prohibition destroyed, a world where you could pop into a bar for a glass of something cool and find yourself standing next to, and soon conversing with, a senator, a playwright, and a sculptor of renown. The culture was convivial and the barrier to acceptance was low." - David Wondrich
Here is a story we learned that we can add to the swordfish lore. In ancient China, there was an assassin who trained as a royal chef to get close to the king. During a feast, he prepared a broiled fish with a small dagger hidden inside it. As he presented his dish to the king, he removed the blade and stabbed the king to death. Mission accomplished.
Very excited that we will be serving bread tonight from @fieldandstonebakery. Field & Stone is a local, artisan micro-bakery that uses quality grains, minimal ingredients, long fermentation by natural yeast and bacteria, and hearth baking techniques. This bread is if you haven't tried it yet. You can find owner Jon @taylorsfarmersmarket tonight until 8.

A rare moment of calm from last weekend. After two nights of dinners served on the roof, the last course accompanied by thunderstorm and an eleventh hour dismantling of the rooftop kitchen, not to mention the inevitable after-party that ensued, it was time to get out the pipes and tobacco.

We are driven by the love of these good things: fine food, drinks, and company. In terms of quality and production, we tend to go beyond high maintenance and into extravagance. But in terms of a community, I think you would find us very laid back. We love the drink and we love the drinker.
Amaro is an Italian herbal liqueur that is rich and bitter-sweet. It is often served after dinner as a digestif.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend. The rain held out until the very end, and we were able to rush indoors and continue reveling. Thank you to our volunteers who helped make each night run so smoothly, including our members who stepped in to help us pack up when the floods came. We know we will be talking about this weekend for years to come. Until next time.
The coffee community in Greenville where we come from is extremely supportive, full of people that genuinely want to see their neighbor succeed. It would seem that when one shop is thriving, they all do well, because coffee is doing well in Greenville.
There is not as much of a cocktail scene here yet, but things are changing fast. As a general rule, our generation does well in times of change because we are adaptive and driven self-starters. Being in a smaller town, we do not always have the opportunity to learn from the masters, so we teach ourselves. We think Greenville is ready for a cocktail renaissance to rival the other towns in the southeast and beyond. So here's to the future of the cocktail scene in Greenville--may it continue to grow and raise the bar of service and drinks in our city. We look forward to some friendly competition. Cheers 🥃
