Some things will never change. (sorry it's muted, this was behind the scenes so my mic was off)

Talk about hustle...I remember back when I was an assistant and my mission one night was to HUNT DOWN Marc Ecko (Founder of Complex Magazine). Mr. Ecko had a really great trainer who @diddy wanted to meet with "immediately" and of course I finally tracked him down and like the next day the meeting happened! Now, fast forward and years later...little ol' me gets the opportunity to be featured on said Founder's COMPLEX HUSTLE series 🏾 From scrambling to find Mr. Ecko's number one night at my desk to NOW sitting in his Complex Headquarters being interviewed about my damn self??!...NOT TOO BAD if I do say so myself! (**PINCH ME!!**) | Head over to YouTube.com/complexhustle to watch my episode! #QueenOfLongCaptions (LOL!) 🤓 #FullCircleMoment#DreamsDoComeTrue#ComplexHustle#TheVanityGroup | cc: @complexhustle #highlightmyhustle#4TheCulture#entrepreneurship
As simple as it is... it goes a long way. Just being a nice person will make you feel good and everyone around you! Even if someone is causing negative energy in your life, kill'em with kindness.

This week on the podcast we sit down with Daniel 'Bird' Hobert, father of @bobbbaaaay to talk about what it was like to be raised in a family of 10. At the age of 13 'Bird' was sent off to private school because of a learning disability that he says was one of the best things that had happened to him in his life. Later down the road he began working at the Hamden County Sheriffs Department where he does community service work with inmates and try's to mentor these guys back on the right track. How he got the nickname 'Bird', running the Boston Marathon, the key to happiness being health + keeping good people around you, rushing the old Boston Garden floor with Larry Bird's off the glass bucket game winning shot, how important family is to him, the idea that when it comes to life there is no dress rehearsal and why he loves Bruce Springsteen. One of the biggest takeaways from this weeks episode is the idea that luck is when opportunity meets preparation. A lot of people don't see the behind the scenes of what really goes on to reach success. It takes years of hard work, hustle, sacrifices and endless amounts of times of falling flat on your face. Every second you waste thinking about why someone else is where they're vs you is time that could've been spent getting you one step closer to them.

Embrace life's journey and learn from your low points to make it to the next level #jussknow 🥇
Building genuine relationships takes time and you don't want to come off as someone who is simply in it for "what can this person do for me." Be a good person and give without any expectation of getting anything in return. The world has a tricky way of bringing the energy back to you somehow/someway.
