I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be awed and amazed by #TapInspiration Elizabeth Burke (@elizabethrburke). I also can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love this absolutely wonderful human being.
I met her face-to-face for the very time in Chicago two years ago. I was taking a master class with #TapInspiration Nicholas Van Young (@nicholasvanyoung) at the Chicago Human Rhythm Project's (@chicagotap) Winter Tap JAMboree. Elizabeth was assisting Nick with his classes, and I was privileged to take their classes and challenge myself in ways I had never been challenged before. Elizabeth was a huge part of that.
I ran into her again this past December in Nashville when Dorrance Dance (@dorrancedance) came to town and performed their show ETM: Double Down. We didn't get to talk much, but it was still great to see her again. Elizabeth is an important part of Dorrance Dance and is an extremely talented dancer and instructor. I also must reiterate that she is one of the nicest people I personally have ever met. Oh, and for the record, she and I have North Carolina ties; I was born there, she grew up there!
The more you know about Elizabeth Burke, the more you'll love her. As a dancer, as a teacher, as a performer, as a person. Trust me on that.
Happy birthday, Elizabeth! #HappyBirthdayElizabeth#DorranceDance#tapdance#tapdancer#tapper#tapdancing#tap#dancer#dancing#hoofer#hoofing#teamtap#taplife#taplove#tapfam#tapfamily
I hope one day Eli realizes how many people love & care about her. Happy 3rd birthday to the happiest (as long as she has her cheetos) girl in the world! #HappyBirthdayElizabeth
