for those of u who chose to skip right to the caption of this pic, this tote features a lil synopsis on planned parenthood and the many services that they offer. last thursday, the bill to defund pp was pulled from voting which is a GREAT victory for patients like me, supporters and those who work to provide health care to those in need. if interested, u can get one at @powerandlightpress where 100% of the proceeds go to pp (they've donated over $70,000 as of january!) and not only support those who rely on pp but also the lovely working women behind it! #istandwithpp

"... the Health Care Bill isn't going to pass after all and all I can think about today is the 4 million people that marched for women's health and rights. Because people stop me all the time and say, 'Does it really matter? Did marching matter? Does calling my member of congress matter?' and today it feels like every single thing that everybody did, it mattered." — @cecileonroad, President of @plannedparenthood. I'm really at awe at all the creative ways people are becoming active since the March. This photograph by @alixspence is from @spaceystudios's Made to March collection. Thank you @kateehoffman! Spacey Studios was founded by four (gorgeous) sisters that were inspired by the March to keep the conversation going through art. Every piece you purchase, they are donating $5 to Planned Parenthood. 🏼🏼🏼#istandwithpp
Since January 20th many have been feeling some kind of way about our country, government & how it will impact the future of ourselves, our loved ones as well as the planet. For me, I feel as if almost daily something/someone I love or believe in or value will be negatively impacted by president 45. Like many, I have been signing petitions, going to marches, town halls, contacting my representatives, & making my voice heard as an individual as well as in the media. Sometimes, it feels as if it isn't enough. That said, I have a full time job, a life and sometimes I'm just tired. One of the easiest ways I have noticed I can make my voice heard has been by my t-shirts. I started with just a few and now have many. It allows my voice & views be known & can be in support of those who think they are alone. The convos when I wear them have been great. Since my collection grew pretty large, I decided I am going to wear 30 of these t-shirts in 30 days as a simple way to have my voice heard. They will either share my beliefs/values, a human right I believe strongly in, or about someone bold who came before us & paved the way that I feel should be honored. I'm not a big fan of photos of myself these days. However, I want to take those who want to join me on my journey & will be posting a daily photo. 30 Days of Resistance. This is from my visit to my 6 year old nephew, Dr. Barbin's office. #resist#resistance#healthcare#ACA#Humanrights#healthcareisahumanright#AHCA#istandwithpp#istandwithplannedparenthood#feminist#thisiswhatdemocracylookslike#dissentispatriotic#dc#beboldforchange#riseup#womenshistorymonth

When I was in high school, I knew a lot of girls who would go to Planned Parenthood for the 411 on safe sex. When they were scared of talking to their parents or a family member and too uncomfortable to talk to a teacher, they knew to go to Planned Parenthood. After they came back from the clinic, best believe they knew way more about safe sex than our Sex Education classes had ever taught us. They received free condoms, too. While parents can try to shield their kids from sex all they want, but a teenager is going to do what a teenager wants to do. With that in mind, I'm honestly grateful for Planned Parenthood. If they hadn't existed, a lot more of my friends may have gotten pregnant early on or acquired some STD's along the way.
And for my friends who had sex and didn't go to Planned Parenthood in the first place, they were the ones who usually had to go there post-haste for damage control.
Moving onto adulthood, I still know folks who use Planned Parenthood for all the points listed above on the bag.
We cannot deny their services are more than beneficial to girls, ladies, couples, and families across the country. #IStandWithPP #VitalCommunityResource#PlannedParenthood#FamilyPlanning#WomensHealth#SexualHealth#SafeSex#BirthControl#SafePregnancy#PrenatalHealthcare#BodyAutonomy
