#may_raad

Contact Press Images is overjoyed to announce that our contributor, Matthias Bruggmann has been named the recipient of the second Prix Elysee awarded by an international jury of art and photography experts and the Elysee Museum, Lausanne, Switzerland, at the museum's Nuit des images, Saturday evening. One of the most important awards in photography in Europe, we are humbled by Matt's association with Contact and thrilled for him and this astounding recognition of his work.
Matt says about the project: "It attempts to bring to western viewers, a visceral comprehension of the intangible violence that underlies conflict." The project, comprised of some existing imagery and work to be executed during 2017 will result in an exhibition at the museum and book to be published in 2018.
