The hardest part of being a parent is the transition. Few years back, you always drink mommy's milk before you go to sleep. You feel comfortable sleeping when mommy's right beside you all night even when you wake up in the middle of the night just to drink mommy's milk.
Tonight, I trained you to drink your warm milk from the glass and not from mommy's. And you absolutely did an amazing job! When we went up in the room to get you to sleep, you decided to sleep here instead of our bed. And after a few minutes you asked me to turn off the lights (which you usually don't like!). A few moments on, you've slept on your own - of course with mommy by your side, holding you, making you feel safe and warm. But this time, without the nips and without the milk.
Growing up is the saddest. Even if I had wished you can do everything on your own. Just a few minutes have passed and I already miss you being clingy to me. Lol
Grow up to be a kind hearted and responsible man, Zeke. I love you very much!
