Days went by so fast and I can't believe it's been one year already since I decided to meet this wonderful man in my life.
I can't say it enough, love what you do and watch how easy success will be to achieve. Sometimes we are capable of doing so much, but it might not necessarily fulfill us. So don't be afraid to do "less" if it truly brings you joy and you love it. But don't be afraid to push yourself out of your comfort zone either!
When was the last time you wrote about your thoughts without intending to send it to someone else? This is one of the most therapeutic practices for me.
Over the next 7 days try to spend 10 minutes focusing on each of these questions. It doesn't matter if you type out your thoughts or put pen to paper - as long as you are honest with yourself. Try to let go of any ideas of 'right' answers and let your writing take over. Remove judgement and be kind to yourself
Give yourself permission to pause... to stop, and rest. Whatever your heart desires, do it and enjoy yourself, or choose to do nothing at all.
And if the only thing you did today was breathe- and rest, then that makes it a perfect day. Happy Sunday! xo
Feminism by definition, is the belief, that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. How can we affect change in the world, when only half of it is invited, or feel welcomed to participate? @emmawatson #feminism#leanintogether#idol
11 weeks ago I had the opportunity to cross paths with these amazing #mentees of our #LICP2 programme by @leaninmalaysia. We never worked with career breakers before, so honestly I was never exposed to this side of the society whereby highly qualified women who opted to take a career break for familial commitment due to lack of support back home and at workplaces, are being penalised by the system and finding it difficult to get back to the workforce after they’ve done their part for their families. Week by week since we launched this programme, I watched how they established a tight support system amongst themselves and encouraged one another to step up and persevere harder to secure their career back. I watched them GROW into more confident individuals, superwomen that they are and beautiful inside out. It’s humbling and overwhelming, all in all inspiring for someone like me who’s just starting out in life too. Their commitment as a mother, wife, sister and daughter taught me different perspectives in life than just being a career woman. So thank you, for being part of my life. The programme might end soon ladies but this sisterhood we’ve formed with one another is lifelong, definitely
Tips to live by...worry less because all worrying means is that you suffer regardless of the outcome. Act more because it's the only way to advance in life and to live without regret. Be present! How many times are we physically present but mentally elsewhere? Planning dinner, thinking of our deadlines, and so much more? Let's not miss out on the beautiful moments happening right in front of us by acting more and worrying less.
Hold your head high,
Stick your chest out.
It gets dark sometimes,
but morning comes.
Keep hope alive.
There is always hope. Remember that.
"Do more of what makes you HAPPY."
Life is throwing us a LOT this week. But I was reminded earlier on my coaching call (yes, us coaches need coaching too ) how this business is giving me something so incredibly VALUABLE... a COMMUNITY to lean on during the good times and the harder ones!!! ♂️♂️♂️
From my Challengers, my Team, my larger community, the messages of support have been overwhelming. It's been a powerful reminder that I am not alone, and that STRUGGLES are part of the journey... but being surrounded by such LOVE has been one of the greatest gifts!!!
