Congratulations to our own Stuart Appelbaum on receiving the Steve Pezenik Person of the Year award! This award is very special to us as it's named in memory of a member of the Local 338 family. #RWDSU#melindakatz
Thirteen ways of looking at Queens Boulevard (13). Due to being too busy and suffering another bout of Bronchitis from car exhaust, QB was too sick to attend the last Community Board meeting, and asked me to show you what it wants to be: lush with trees (so do its neighbors). It also wants you to make it safe for cycling (aka bike lanes). In solidarity with Forest Hills residents and Forest Park, it respectfully requests that you extend the bike path beyond the park's tiny stretch. In closing, QB knows it has a bad rep and is asking for your help in driving change and turning over a new leaf (or many). @milliontreesnyc@nycparks@nyc_dot#queensboroughpresident#melindakatz@nyccouncil@transportationalternatives
