It has been described as the greatest watch ever made. #patekphilippe ref #2499 from the case shape and dial layout to the perpetual calendar chronograph complication, it is as pure an embodiment as it gets of Patek Philippe as a manufacture.
The Ref.2499 was made in four distinctive series, and for those who don’t know, there are a few easy traits to tell them apart. The first series is the easiest to distinguish, with a slightly smaller case, arabic numerals, square pushers and a tachymeter, and while the second series maintained the tachymeter, both arabic numerals and baton markers were used. The most significant difference is that the case changed and incorporated round pushers instead. The third and fourth series maintained the case of its predecessor, but this time, Patek Philippe removed the tachymeter scale and only used baton markers. The difference between the third and forth series? Not much, except that the 4th series for the first time, used a sapphire crystal, altering its model number to Ref.2499/100. ~
For me still the most beautiful watch ever made.

When is a watch more than a watch? Probably when it looks as good as the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak QP in ceramic. Could this be the watch of 2017? Early days but I'm inclined to think so! Don't forget to follow the link in my bio and check out our new website! ( from @chronoscope_tv)
How detail minded does a watchmaker need to be?I captured this movement when my man @junior620toni was trying to manipulate the hole size of a small second hand for a Valjoux 7750 movement The hand's length is probably 4-5mm, which they will also need super steady hands and a laser focused eye sight too Managed by enthusiastic collector like you, @classicwatchtepair always go a mile further when it comes to servicing and repairs🏻 Get your quote today on www.classicwatchrepair.com (Link in bio @classicwatchrepair 🏻️) #ClassicWatchRepair#Baselworld#Baselworld2017
