A literal conversation with an ex-friend:
Them: sexism doesn't exist in first world countries and i don't consider myself to be a feminist
Me: excuse me, have you heard of mass rape in war? Rape in collages and universities? Slut shaming? Body shaming? Fucking taxation on tampons and sanitary products for menstrual periods? All the fucking cases of girls that have been sent home because how they like to dress is 'distracting' to male students and/or staff? Or that a woman's reproductive rights are still being fought against in several countries and states?
Them: yeah, but rape happens to guys too, I would rather be a men's rights activist than a woman's rights activist tho (Or something along those lines)
Like BOI: Like yes, sexism affects both men and woman and we should fight and stand up for both of their EQUAL rights in all parts of their lives, but saying 'it happens to men too' just fucking justifies it and invalidates it. It's like saying to a rape survivor ' oh I totally know how that feels, I was cat called a couple times'. Like honey please STFU. FUCK THE PATRIARCHY. I LITERALLY TOLD THEM THAT WE WEREN'T FRIENDS ANYMORE BECAUSE OF THIS. Then they're fucking like 'oh my other friend dumped me because I told her that I wasn't a feminist(amongst other sexist and transphobic BULLSHIT)' and I'm like BOI? Why the fuck do you think we're un-friending you? You're trying to guilt me for your transphobic, sexist ass? Really? You fucking with me? (Sorry guys I am still so FUXKINH salty about this) .
Unfortunately I got the news that my handsome boyfriend, Adam (left) and best mate Nathan (right), had both been attacked and mugged. Nathan is okay thankfully, Adam was beaten and slashed numerous times with a knife with the slur 'faggot' used numerous times by the offender. Adam is at the hospital and is doing well, but when will the hate end?
Both picked on for liking the same sex, despicable. When are we as a society going to learn to love eachother? Love wins, guys
