Camping in the middle of the Serengeti with nature hearing animals throughout the night the next morning we found a zebra kill just minutes from our campsite incredible #goodmorningafrica#serengeti#lion#africa
Wildebeest Migration now is searching in the Serengeti for green grass across the open plains followed by their 2-3 month old babies trying to keep up. They have to or big cats will find them. Soon the herds will be crossing the Mara River with hungry monsters that have not eaten for a year waiting for them. Stay tuned, we keep you posted. #wildebeestmigration#serengeti#tanzania#marariver#crocodiles
Looking wistful, on a rock...

C-Boy, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, 2012 - detail of photo by Michael (Nick) Nichols. @michaelnicknichols. His solo exhibit, Wild, at the @philadelphiamuseumofart is a multi-media extravaganza. Nick's intimate portraits of untamed creatures in their majestic habitats is a clarion call to honor and protect them both. Paired with objects from the museums collection a multi-media conversation begins. Next to ivory poacher spoils are orphaned baby elephants and in front sits an ivory inlaid chair. A magnificent owl with piercingly focused eyes and a massive wing-span is caught mid-flight by Nick and perched beside is a Picasso sculpture of an owl at rest. An interactive, bold and inspiring exhibit!
