We met Kathy Burkham at the annual Tyler Yount Foundation 5k charity run in Decatur, Illinois. Tyler is Kathy’s son, and he passed from an accidental overdose on June 14, 2009. The Tyler Yount Foundation fights the stigma associated with drug related deaths, and educates the community on the benefits and use of naloxone. We’ll never forget the kind invitation to stay a few nights with her family. “You guys are welcome in my house anytime. I know how good it feels to come home.” #SeeChrisRun

This is Fortunate, a great friend of Orphfund's who teaches sewing and tailoring skills at our Kasese Children's Village.
We love giving our kids skills that they will use for life, and we're so luck to have women like Fortunate teaching them.
This year has come and moved itself already into fall What does that mean?
A change in #perspective.
A change in #thinking.
A change in #achieving.
A change in #dreaming.
What exciting thing have you done with your summer? Reflecting on what has happened is so important, you capture the times and seasons in your life and use what you've learned and mastered for the next chapter. #happy fall

I'll be working with the Young Black Women's Project- created by the Peel HIV/AIDS Network.
I will be leading a class around Mental Health and Trauma. A lot of us suffer in silence, are made to feel weak and lesser-than for our experiences, and I'm not standing for it.
I wanted to get ahead of the curve by sharing this news now. Perhaps you know a girl or two that's interested.
[for Mental Health & Trauma: The Black Girl's Survival Guide] a class led by yours truly, and powered by The Young Black Girl's Project. .
Anyone who's experienced the dread of depression or the choking hold of anxiety knows this feeling.
I'm glad to be able to share my tips on managing from lived experiences. Will list the topics once it's all finalized.
Prince says thank you for those of you who have donated to our rescue. Any amount helps us with the cost of food and supplies for the bunnies, or potential vet bills. We need to keep these bunnies around so that they can each experience adoption someday
We wish we could help everyone, but we're forever grateful for your support and knowing that we're changing the lives of so many kids.
Heavy lightning forced us to call it after 38.2 miles yesterday, and the storm hasn't given an inch since. We're 34 miles from Kansas, and determined to cross today. Break out the ponchos. #SeeChrisRun

Yesterday we linked up with the Katy Trail, an old MKT railroad corridor that follows the Missouri River from Machens to Clinton. We met quite a few trans-Missouri cyclists, and shared stories from the road on the @meriwethercafeandbikes patio before continuing on to Pilot Grove. 29.6 miles on the Katy yesterday, 25 to come today. #SeeChrisRun

Edie Windsor was a pioneering LGBTQ activist who boisterously paved the way for modern equality in the United States by challenging the Defense of Marriage Act set forth by the U.S. government in 1996. Her landmark legal victory in 2013 aided progress for LGBTQ members all over the country that sought to get married — and for that, among many other reasons, she will be remembered. #rip#upworthy : @gettyimages / Chip Somodevilla
