Do-over week. Last week halfway through, I sprained and pulled my left knee to inner thigh and hamstring area. It felt really tender so I had to give myself break to recover and heal. So I decided to re-start the program #shiftshop#weekone of round two today. On top of training Karate and practicing group fitness classes and rehearsing at home, I do workout for myself to improve my strength and stamina. And I would like to drop a few extra pounds of body fat as well. That will help for my Karate training. But I guess I pushed a little too hard last couple of weeks. My sensei told me a long time ago when I got injured from training, "in a way, injury is a good opportunity to learn more about your body". And that is true. In life, set-backs are part of life. And it is important to resume journey by starting over. Never quit. That makes you a true warrior. Anyway, I felt great to be back on the routine. And this low in-out move was my favorite move of the day. My quads were screaming. #maketheshift#karategirl#mmagirl#functionaltraining#bushido#warriorspirit#lifejourney
Busy day, full of great memories! Morning No Gi class went great to start the week with the right mindset. In the kids class we had Gabi showing a lots of heart to win the kids champion belt this week.
Also pushing on the night class wrapping up our half guard passing skills, specifics, rolls and drilling. #fightsportsnaples#warriorspirit#hardworkbeatstalent
