Asperger's is often misunderstood- people who have it are often highly intelligent, but lack some abilities socially that requires extra effort. There are many different degrees depending on the individual, but certain obsessions are often a characteristic of people who have it. 🏻🏻 #aspergers#aspergerssyndrome#autism#autismawareness

Ahh, oh sorry, fell asleep there for a second!
So joining me on my ride came a rather large feather that floated down to land on me nose before falling to the ground. Hello angels thanks for being with me.
Little glass of Chardonnay after a beautifully productive day .., it was a technology day ... I'm completely techno-dummie so probably took me 5 hours to accomplish what the generation to my left aka millennials accomplish in 10 minutes and it is still from Gen Y and looks like a 2 year old created it.., actually, they would do better. But it's ok!
You're not hear because of my super creative artwork and graphical design or snazzy Canva creations right?! I'm me, people empowering , essential oil loving, crazy rain man brain educating, truth living, self being, purpose beyond imagination believing, weird, odd, but humble and honest me. I am who I am, what I do is who I am, there is no separation between my who and my do. Where I go, my message goes.
Anyway. From this you can see how easily my brain goes off in tangents and can't stick to the point!
At least I know why now! Crazy high functioning Aspie ADHD adult diagnosed brain. Why they didn't figure it out 30 years ago is beyond me, but that's ok! I'm still me right! So cheers!
If you want to know why I collect feathers, about my recent diagnosis and how I'm managing that, and my newest recreation with my beautiful Grace Notes Beauty! Please get in touch. PM, DM, Comment, contact me via link in bio.
Dashann Wallace. Keyara Edwards. Shani Burriss. Shaniah Boyd. Anjel Burl. Demetria Carthens. Kamaria Jennings. Palace Sonogod. these are ALL listed names of girls missing from the DMV area [DC, Maryland, Virginia] on the Instagram page of @1800thelost. FOUR of these girls went missing THIS PAST WEEK. as many of you may recall, two weeks ago there was a search for Kennedi High, an autistic teenager from Baltimore. while putting out information on her behalf, i learned initially just how OFTEN young girls from this area are disappearing. thankfully, Kennedi was found and returned home safely. one girl who is still out there is ONE GIRL TOO MANY. read their names. visit the social media pages and websites of @1800thelost and @blackandmissingfdn and look at their faces. if you SEE something, SAY something. these girls have families and friends who love and miss them. these girls need all the help they can get to make it back HOME. teach your children of the DANGERS of social media, of dating apps, and of traveling alone. most people are abducted BY SOMEONE THEY KNOW/TRUST so ALWAYS know with WHOM your children SHOULD be. my heart BREAKS for EACH of these missing girls and my prayers are with them and their families.
"What is it about an autistic person's interests that makes them 'special'? Why are not the interests of neurotypical people 'special'? What do you call an interest that is not 'special'? Asking me about my 'special interests' is asking me to make fun of myself, as if having a deep interest in something was in fact odd, and amusing, much as one would humor or demean a person who collects worthless objects of some kind. History abounds with examples of people who have significant contributions to science, art, technology, or sports because they passionately pursued their deep interests."—Michael Wilcox, former vice-chair, AANE Board of Directors.

I'm releasing a #music video soon! It's a cover of the #beatles "Fool on the Hill". I chose this song because although @paulmccartney might not have consciously done so, I felt that with this song, he gave us, people with #aspergers and #autism, a voice. In a way, I am thanking him with this tribute.
The video will tell the story of 3 point of views: How society views autism, how the autistic person longs for acceptance, and the autistic person's personal utopia.
The message: Here is the POV of a person with Autism and or Asperger's. Society, notice how there is nothing to fear. Autists and Aspies, know that it's perfectly ok to be this way.
Will be giving credits to people in later posts. I can't wait to show this to you.
Aspietip: This spring, I'm seeking self-renewal. Over the winter, I developed some negative coping skills that I now need to unlearn and replace. Mostly, instead of thinking of myself as someone who others will eventually reject, and coping by separating myself and focusing on my outward appearance, I'm redeveloping an appreciation for who I am, and accepting who I am as valuable. #springday#autistic#beginagain
