What a day!! Frozen rain, slippery icy sidewalks covered by a blanket of snow. Not sure whether it's safer to travel by car (icy roads- seriously I saw someone out on the road wearing skates!!) or by foot (those sidewalks are slippery!) Every time I try to paint based on what I have seen of others work, it failed, in fact it totally sucked. When I paint what I love, what makes my heart smile.... I end up with something that works.
Lesson learned.... Kim! Be the artist you are NOT who someone else is... in that place there is joy & rest.
Be you today. You are incredible! Only you can be you & that is amazing!
Today was not that good for me. I don't know why, nothing really happened outside of the norm to make it bad....I just felt really lonely and defeated (mostly thanks to my 2 year old). But I did my absolute best to remain positive and focus on the little wins throughout the day to get through it. I wasn't going to do yoga tonight....all I wanted to do was lay in my bed. But I drug myself to that beautiful, beautiful mat and did it anyway. It's amazing to me how much different I feel afterwards. I'm so at peace and no matter the mood I'm in I always know that during that time I can breathe that mood away and solely focus on the now. And that alone changes me more than I ever thought yoga could. #beinthenow#yogarevolution#day12

Hi everyone, going to introduce myself since I've had an Instagram makeover today after a bit of a hiatus. I am a Psychology Resident with my PhD in psychology, working towards licensure as a psychologist in a psych hospital. Thought I'd share some of what I've learned with you all & put down my thoughts on paper, so to speak.
