In Dec I made a commitment to my own health and fitness, and to helping others as well.
I took action on putting an end to the anxiety, depression, and dissatisfaction I felt in my life.
To the shame that I felt not being happy despite all the blessings in my life. To the isolation I felt. And the financial uncertainty I had when work slowed down and I decided to take Ian out of daycare. To the fact that I couldn't fit into my clothing. For the belief that life had more to offer. "I am becoming a virtual health and fitness coach with Beachbody" I posted. …I had mixed emotions… excitement, fear, doubt, hope… but there was no turning back and I wasn’t going to break any promises to anyone. And I wanted more than to feel like I did.
I’ve made physical gains, emotional strides, some amazing friendships, and an overall sense of accomplishment in the incremental changes I've made.
Our Favourite "popsicle" quick simple and healthy ... take: yogurt (we use plain or vanilla usually) nectar or real fruit juice (nectar is best) mix together at a ratio of 2:3 and then the kids favourite part is dropping fruit (blueberries or grapes work great!) into each holder before pouring in the liquid to freeze ... the worst part is the wait but In A few hours you have a healthy #kidapproved treat for the summer heat! #popsicles#healthyeating#healthyfood#organicfood#cookingwithkids
Cuppa + a piece of slice. This is the choc coconut slice from @mylovelylittlelunchbox that i make weekly, however we didn't have any almonds left so I used 1/2 and 1/2 pepitas and sunflower seeds! Doesn't taste the same but I don't mind it! #yum#cookingwithkids
Monday breakfast... Cocao Custard Porridge with nuts, chocolate and cranberries (and a coffee). Have a super week! Have you got anything exciting planned?
Big salads platters to share are always a good idea! This is Hetts favourite tomato and basil sauce to make at the moment really good with mushrooms on toast, crispy potatoes or just a big dollop on any vege or mixed through some pasta! •To make•
Sauté 3 cloves crushed garlic, 1 finely diced shallot in about 4T olive oil.... don't let it get to brown. Add a tin of crushed tomatoes and half a tin of water and let simmer about 20 mins to it has reduced. If it's to watery simmer for longer. Last of all season with salt and pepper and add a tsp of coconut sugar and a big handful of torn basil leaves and boom it's ready!
