If you have tension or pain anywhere in your lower body or lower back... you better get your hips/glutes (butt) WORKED.
Releasing tension in that area can cause a chain reaction throughout the body (some of your thigh, leg, lower back muscles attach in the gluteal region... that's why you need to work that area well).

This is a technique we at MMT use often. It's called 'rolling fist' . .
The knuckle is pressed in to the soft tissue then wrist is flexed from side to side giving a kind of rolling action. It doesn't look as though much pressure is being applied but there is🏾... The therapists entire body weight can be put in to it .The great thing about this technique is that it allows the therapist to stay on the point for as long as is needed 🏽🏽🏽. Clients will often say : " what are you using there? Your elbow? "
