Reflection: At about 20 Billion Kilometers (The time it takes light 19 hours; travelling at nearly 300,000 Kms per SECOND to reach us), Humanity’s farthest and longest-lived spacecraft, Voyager 1 and 2, achieve 40 years of operation and exploration and still continue to communicate daily with @nasa .When we make the feeble attempt to wrap our minds around the vastness of space, we realize how special this little blue planet of ours is. To the universe, we are special because life as we know it hasn't been found anywhere else as of yet, and we have looked unimaginably far as well as in our own neighborhood. If life wasn't important, perhaps we wouldn't have the innate evolutionary fear of death within us. All the political conflict, all the hate, all the infighting for what? Even if everything ends this very second the universe would still continue, but it would be a very empty existence. If I could, I would take some of the politicians and common folks to the moon and ask them to tell me what political flags and borders can they see from up there (or down there, considering the Moon's orbit isn't on a plane with respect to Earth).
We are nothing when compared to the universe...but that is why we are special. And by we I mean all the biologically dynamic beings on Earth; Including Earth herself....And the Moon...it causes the tides and it's just too damn romantic a rock to look at. Sun too...it literally gives us life sustaining electromagnetic energy. Well you get the point, hopefully.

Today was pretty freaken cool! Watching total totality NASA was streaming from all over the US was incredible too! How cute is the pic of my girls I stole from Jennifer U from them watching from daycare this morning?? #Goosebumps#SolarEclipse2017#InAw#GottaLoveScience
As I always say - it's science, and an innate human phenomenon consisting of chemicals, neurons and hormones.
The neurotransmitter noreinephrine makes you feel super alert and allows you to remember the smallest of details, like the dress she was wearing or what kind of coffee he was drinking when you first saw them.
Phenylethylamine is what gives you the giggles and causes you to lose your appetite.
So. I'm making all natural food colors for Omer's birthday party cake. Red from beet, green from spinach, purple from cabbage. This is how you make beautiful blue using the cabbage purple and baking soda. #gottalovescience #imadethis #casashaya
