OBSESSED with this breakfast. These were so good 🥞 what's inside? I used my banana pancake recipe, which is 1 banana, 2 1/2 tablespoons @arrowheadmills coconut flour, 2 tablespoons almond flour, 2 tablespoons coconut oil, about 1/8 cup @almondbreeze almond milk, a dash of vanilla, a pinch of baking powder, and a dash of @dakinfarm_vt maple syrup! On top I drizzled some @crazyrichardspb creamy peanut butter, and added some berries and @guittardchocolate extra dark chocolate chips! 🥞 Happy almost Friday everyone!
Couscous-beetroot-soaked almonds-basil-garlic invention..... couscous cooked, the rest shredded, all mixed together and seasoned with lemon, salt and coconut oil. Simple and really delicious 🤤 #healthpassionista
So we are currently enjoying the beautiful Peak District but this is what I knocked up for the kids for the car journey up. Pear crisps . Simple. Nil added (although I think a sprinkling of cinammon would be great). I sliced the pears thinly with a mandolin and baked in the airfryer for 12 minutes (although the oven would work equally well). The kids loved them!
It's definitely a healthy twist on standard potato crisps. Yes there is natural sugar in pears, but the harder they are the less sugar they contain (as they ripen and soften the starch in pears get converted to sugars). These pears were picked off a tree and were rock solid so turning them into crisps seemed the obvious thing to do. Pears (particularly the skin) are also high in flavonoids, which are thought to have antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. So definitely leave the skin on!
