#tbt to my last night in Dubrovnik. I was finally able to get into Nishta, the only vegetarian / vegan restaurant in Old Town and it was soooo worth the wait (advise booking a day or two ahead). I had the Pašticada which is said to be the holy grail of Dalmatian Croatian cooking (normally cooked with beef). It is a slow cooked meal combining liquid, spices, onion and other root vegetables, which gives it epic flavour and aroma. Yummo!
Nishta say that Pašticada tells you the story about Dalmatian sea trading of spices from the middle east and how they got incorporated into Dalmatian meals and lives.
However I got chatting to another Australian couple at the table next to me and forgot to take a picture, so I've borrowed this one from Nishta.
My brave soldier nothing worse than watching your children go under but when she came round she said "mummy everyone here is so kind" had the nurses running around after her @jessfgore#mybabies#operations#homenow
