Happy #muleymonday!! This was my first mule deer 2 riffle seasons ago. I had never tried to hunt for mule deer...I just wasn't interested as I've always hunted white tail. I'm glad I gave up being so stubborn because I was fortunate to put a sneak up on this guy after I spotted him from up high on top of a mountain. It felt like I couldn't bomb down the mountain fast enough and then crawl over a couple hills through sage brush before getting within 100 yards or so. I'm really looking forward to deer and elk season. #muledeer#hunt#hunter#mountains#riffle#406#montana#womenwhohunt#publicland#conservation#wildgamewildgains
#Animals are natural born killers. I'm not sure if he rounded this #MONSTER up because of how much I love my pear tree or because the dog also loves himself a fresh ripe pear as well. Ol boy has more kills this year on his own then the previous #7 of his life. BowBow.....GET EM!....&he gets em.
Understand the different variables that affect the outcome and you can determine the influence you have on them. If you don't influence a variable that is within your control and you drop short, you weren't unlucky you failed to calculate.
Shot this cracker yesterday from 300m running off on an angle.
Good to apply all the training at the range.
