The best shape I was ever in was after 2 straight months doing the 5am boot camp at Barry's Boot Camp in West Hollywood with Barry himself. These days, with a full time job & picking up 2 kids in 2 different locations, it is often difficult to find the time to work out. The elliptical machine has a 28 min weight loss workout with a 5 minute cooldown. Unless there's a reason, I've made a pledge to myself to stop making excuses. Everyone knows that the more you move + the less you eat = the more you lose. My workout mix has this song on it bc Barry used to play it every morning. It's a subtle reminder that if I could've let Barry kick my ass for 2 straight months, 33 mins ain't nothing!!!! #workitout#shakeitlittlemama#letmeseeyoudothe#janefonda@barrysbootcamp
"We cannot always control our thoughts, but we can control our words, and repetition impresses the subconscious, and we are then master of the situation." Jane Fonda. | good night everyone. Or good morning, evening, whatever your time zone is. Have a lovely rest of your day.
"To be a revolutionary you have to be a human being. You have to care about people who have no power." Jane Fonda. ❥
"If anybody is gonna sit on Ryan Gosling's face, it's gonna be me!" Grace and Frankie 8/10
I'm a screenwriter and I try to watch as many Tv series as I can to improve my craft. And this show appeared on my screen many times before, but as a person in her twenties who doesn't like comedies, I always thought that this wouldn't be my taste, so I postponed to watch it every time. This year, when the show nominated for two Emmy awards for 'Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series' category, I decided to give it a chance.
The show is built around two very different women, (amazing Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin) who learn that their husbands are in love with each other while they were thinking that these men were just best friends. On top of coping up with the news in their seventies, the irony of fate, life brings these women together who can't put up with each other for even a second.
It's not a laugh out loud comedy but it cracks a smile on your face and well, the leads rock the screen. Give it a try, you'll be pulled into the story just after the pilot.
I was inspired in many ways to portray Jane. One of the main reasons I chose to do it was because I was opening a new chapter in my life here in mesmerizing world of roleplay, therefore, I was browsing around for a new face to add to the community. I never believed I had superb writing skills, considering I started this account right before my freshman year ended, in April or May of that year, but I was drawn towards portraying a female for the first time since I joined roleplay. Now my perspective of people I could portray has broadened, for I've grown a strong adoration for Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Jayne Mansfield, among a dozen others, including male characters as well. But back then, I was alone, I knew no one around here, except for one individual, but their role in my life had come to a halt. With no face to hide behind, I remained anti-social, but once the name 'Jane Fonda,' ran across my mind, I started to recall so many heart-warming memories. I remembered as a younger girl, witnessing Jane appear in the film, 'Monster in Law,' with Miss Jennifer Lopez. She made me laugh, reminding me of my own mother in a way, (they could both be cynical and had a strong liking for alcohol), which made me happy, and perhaps that's strange, but it did, and still does. I also remembered listening to my mother speak about how Jane and her father were so legendary in the world of acting, and it took me just a few years to truly grasp and understand what she was talking about. Jane isn't just an actress, she is art to me. A walking painting that God concieved using the finest berries with vibrant hues, and the most sleek painting tools. Her ivory cheeks were tickled with pink rose petals and her eyes were molded by the tiniest shavings of sapphire crystals. She seems so heavenly and untouched, but she has the most humble soul I have ever seen in any woman born into a wealthy way of living. She is bold, she is tough, she works so hard to be healthy and successful. She always reaches out to help the less fortunate. She admits to mistakes she has made, and she knows that she isn't anything less or anything more than human. Jane Fonda may seem like a glamorous name, [..]
