As we go on with #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, let’s continue talking about #thegreenelephantintheroom, because the first step in addressing #mentalillness and fighting the stigma is talking about the elephant in the room.
"Elephant in the room” is an English metaphorical saying for an obvious truth that is being unaddressed. The expression also applies to an evident problem or risk that NO ONE wants to discuss…which inspired this campaign.
For every purchase of an elephant piece, we will donate 25% of the proceeds to @bringchange2mind, a nonprofit organization built to start a conversation about mental health, by creating PSA’s, and university and high school programs that engage students to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Hope you will join us in this movement and help us support the new high school programs of @bringchange2mind. #TogetherWeStand#TogetherWeCan .

Yes, it's odd to take pictures of food. But for me it reminds me of wonderful experiences with my favorite friend (my husband) and they make me smile. Especially when I'm stuck in an airport after a long work trip. Reminds me who I do it for and why.
So excited to get our first boxes out! Won't be long now . . .

What's does God do when you tell Him your plan? He laughs!
So yesterday, I went in for what I thought was a routine dentist appointment. (Time: 8:45am) I had a tight schedule of tasks I had planned to work on and being in and out of the dentist was the key ingredient for a successful day........I thought. I was at the dentist for 2 hours and the conversation arises about being transferred immediately to an oral surgeon. I guess my tooth wanted to be stubborn. I ended up going to the hospital and had to wait another hour due to high blood pressure (anxiety kicked in.....I know many can relate) to be sedated and the tooth was finally removed. To add, I was not allowed to drive home.....my lovely husband came to my rescue and we head home. (Pain and delirious level...10) Now the time is 3:50pm. And not only did I not get to work on my tasks, I was too sleepy and nauseated to focus on anything so I rested. $350 spent and a task completed list of 0, I was still able to smile. God has blessed me with the resources to take care of unexpected charges, arranged to be picked up an hour away from home by my husband, and my family took care of me. IM SO GRATEFUL GOD knows what He is doing with our lives. You see, I was on the verge of a mental breakdown over the weekend and my brain was still wired in the pretending that everything was OK. But God had a plan to fix that and the only way He could was by showing me that He is in control. I feel much better this morning and I'm thankful that He has our back at all times. The strength He instills in each and every one of us is phenomenal. I'm thankful for the reminder and I'm ready to take on the world today. #meltdownmomma#butgod#MomMotivation .
Appreciate good people. They are hard to come by. 🏼
"Mantra Monday" what if we decide to take one step at a time? One small step at a time and just keep repeating? Would that change anything? Would that make things see a little less intense? Just saying. Have fun every step of the way.
Prioritizing can mean two things: when an event or thing is more important or when something needs to be done first. So when prioritizing your life, think in terms of your goals and also your time. What tasks do you need to accomplish tomorrow? Which are time sensitive and need to be done first? What can be pushed out to another day if you aren't able to finish everything? Then expand this thought process for long term goals.
