Update! Today is my last post op check 🏻 A little over 2 months ago I had #plantarfasciotomy & #gastrocrecession#surgery and it was probably one of the most difficult experiences I've ever had. I went from being pretty active (hiking, walking, biking, kettle bell & HIIT) and doing everything for myself to not being able to do anything, overnight! My recovery was about a week slower than my doctor had wanted & I wasn't able to walk without using my boot & crutches... it was just awful!
So flash back to my first post op: my incisions weren't healing, I wasn't able to put any weight on my leg and I wasn't able to flex my leg at all!!
Well, your body knows what it needs to do to heal itself and today I'm almost back to 100%. I'm walking 2-3 miles everyday, I'm able to stretch/flex, and I'm incorporating some kettle bell workouts. Still not cleared for anything high intensity or strength training but hoping today is the day I get full clearance! #lifeisgood#fitness#nutrition#cptintraining#strengthtraining#healthcoach#girlsthatlift 🏻🏻
Lunch remember my tacos from yesterday! I used the leftovers to make a tasty tofo taco salad dressed with salsa tomatoes and cilantro!
