So we went to the Whole Foods and as we were passing by the fish counter my 4 year old pointed towards the whole Branzine fish that was laying over the ice and asked if we could please get it for dinner 🙃 Well, of course I agreed but was feeling suspicious if the same sentiments will hold once we start cooking for my little foodie. We came home and she asked me if she could help with preparing it I let her stuff the fish with some + and season it with salt and paprika. It was so easy and fun and she LOVED IT!!! I love it when impromptu moments become such special memories. #wholefoods#eatrealfood
Cooking is Oaklin's love language. I'm sure of it. Since he joined our family a little over a year ago, he has loved helping in the kitchen. EVERY DAY he asks me if he can help chop, stir, mix, cook, and bake. I'm curious what this love is going to turn into, possibly a career?!?!
Tonight he helped me make Creamy Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese sticks from our Take Back the Kitchen Menu. What I love is that all of these recipes are teaching him, while he learns to cook. He's 9 and they are easy enough for him to read, learn how to prep, measure, and then make. Honestly, I have always loved being in the kitchen with my kids but these past 2 months have made it even better.
I love being a Family Nutrition Ambassador because not only am I able to provide my family with amazing, healthy meals and recipes, but I'm also able to help other families. If you are looking for a away to simplify your life and have fun in the kitchen WITH your kids, I highly recommend joining this community. Each week you will get a menu, recipes, grocery list, and tips emailed directly to you! It's simply the best for busy moms!
I'm also excited because NEXT week our community will be hosting a sneak peek into what it means to be a Family Nutrition Ambassador and how you too can help not only your family but others. It's been a great way for me to connect with other women, contribute to my family, and spend more time in the kitchen with my kids;) Shoot me a message or drop me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in learning about either and I'll send you more information!
