This is what I want to be known for. Not when I die, but now, today, in this moment. Love is something we can give of freely and I plan to do so at every opportunity presented to me. I want to make people feel loved. Repost from @chelseabeene using @RepostRegramApp - "My parents started as two single, young, Jesus freaks signing up to be martyrs during the Guerrilla war and sneaking medicine, the gospel and shoes to villages being ransacked, to getting married and pitching a tent in one of the most savage villages in Guatemala while raising @bnanapeprz (tiff) their first kid.
Our first home was made by my dad, his chainsaw and some motor oil in the jungles of Guatemala, where to this day they still don't have electricity. Our living room was our clinic 6 days a week, where my parents sutured, survived a cholera epidemic and delivered countless babies and it was also our church on Sundays and where we did our homework and played pretend in between it all.
As an adult looking back at our lives, I realize there isn't a single thing my parents didn't surrender to God, even our very lives. Ive learned that you can't out give God, He has tremendously out blessed us in every way. Our cup runneth over in our worst and best times. Surrendering your life to God doesn't guarantee a cushy life, it guarantees a fulfilling life. When we stop praying about what we need and pray to become what HE needs, we realize that we have everything we could possibly need and than some.
Live your life as is someone else's life dependent on it, cause they do.
p.s excuse the naked baby in the picture, apparently my mamma didn't think I needed clothes.... 🙄RUDE!" #missions#missionaries#guatemala#fiaministries#themissionscommunity#family#familygoals#life#love#mountains#nature#jesus#people#lovepeople#lovegod#god#themissionscommunityfeatured
People will always talk. May be uplifting or destructive, could be lies, or words of Light, but talk is always going to be here. A real good way to counter those ugly words is the way you respond. Don't let the lies keep hold of you. Walk boldly in who you are. Standing firm to He who made you. Return those ugly words with kindness and never match their level of ugliness.
HS students of Solano County, you're invited to Valley Church tonight from 7-9! We're gonna hangout, have some fun, worship and hear from one of our very own about how God has worked in his life!!! Don't miss it! #LovedByGod#LoveGod#LovePeople
In 2 Peter 3:12 we are told we should be looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God? This week in our devotional time we talked about why Jesus has not yet returned and what we should be doing while we wait.
