I had to roll my way out of this one to snap this. When naps like this happen (they don't happen often) they need to be documented.🏼 #MagicofChildhood#sleepingbeauty
My little oily ambassador
This girl right here is the reason (well, one of 3 reasons 🏼) that I starting using oils.
Not because it was a fad, not because all of my friends were doing it, not because I was a super crunchy hippie mom (really, I'm somewhere between soggy and crusty)- I wanted something, ANYTHING, that would help me be able to help my children stay healthy and improve their overall well-being. (Mostly, I didn't want to deal with 3 sick kids all cold and flu season long #canigetanamen). Little did I know that we would benefit so much as a whole family, and myself personally, from these little precious bottles- but that's a totally different story.
Lainey came to me at about 12:30am, sobbing because her head hurt so bad. She cried, "please do something to help me!!!" And even though it was *just* a headache, it breaks your heart as a parent to see one of your kids in pain. Now, Lainey will NOT take medicine-- she's the gag-and-vomit kind of girl when it comes to that stuff, which is super fun. So, my tired and crabby 12:30am self was so thankful to give her something that she would actually use, knowing it would help, AND it's actually good for your body. All the wins.
After that she fell back to sleep, in my bed, and slept peacefully until she woke me up again at 5am to go to the bathroom But her head was totally fine, and it was all good.
This picture is far from perfect. It is dark, it is blurry and I love it. Genevieve took this picture of me doing dishes while playing with my phone. I try to capture her joy all the time. But today she captured mine.
this. is. love.
Does something look a little off in this picture? It's called balance, right? Hee hee

We had a fun and quiet afternoon at home today playing with our @z_dough play doh! We practiced letters and I stopped a certain someone on the right trying to sneak bites only a *few* times It smells SO yummy, can't say I blame him 🤷🏼♀️
What a nice mid-week inspiration! Daughter has now traveled to Barcelona, Spain where she is enjoying the beaches, gorgeous sights and phenomenal weather. I just cannot get over the cultural experiences she has had in the past year!
Have you been to Barcelona? This city is actually on my bucket list!
Creating a sensory tub can be very easy when using super simple resources. We raided our pantry this morning and found some ingredients that appealed to an inviting farmyard sensory tub. Oli has recently been interested in animal play so we decided to create an engaging farmyard sensory tub to relate to his favourite story time book. Check out the link in the bio to read our story on how this fun activity exactly came about and how we created it.

Look what @theinnovationpress sent us today! I've been looking forward to this happy mail. We just finished reading How to Survive as a Firefly and are in love. I have a poplar post #ontheblog about how to attract fireflies in which I share a couple firefly book recommendations but they weren't exactly what I was looking for. This book by Kristen Foote is perfect. Learn about the life cycle of a firefly through humor, fun facts, and fabulous illustrations.
"We can become so focused on what workouts & exercises burn the most fat or calories as quickly as possible that we can forget to remember the exercises that will help stabilize and strengthen our muscles and bodies. During pregnancy, labor & delivery and postpartum women's bodies goes through A LOT of change. It's common for our hips to become weaker during this time which can result in pain or even injury. Here are three exercises that are great for strengthening and stabilizing the hips.
Clam shells *The starting position is on your left with the ending on your right. Each row is a new exercise." #MyDayswithKids
