This mornings magnificent breakfast part 2 - bowl of chopped melon , waffles with syrup ...followed by a lovely omelette. When on holiday you should enjoy your food and drink but if you want to stay in relatively good shape there needs to be some common sense applied.
Most people eat 2 x their usual calorie intake , move way less and then add another 1000-2000 calories from alcohol they consume and you can see how people come back in a far worse condition.
For me personally I actually enjoy physical exercise so on holiday I actually move more than I do back home. Gym sessions every day ( just 30 mins messing about ) , walking and lots of relaxed swimming during the day. This enables me to have some beers , enjoy good food ( pretty similar to what I normally eat with a few added treats ) and still stay in good shape whilst more importantly actually feeling good the whole time I am on holiday.
