Our pet food drive @sweetwatersound yesterday was a success! We collected 105 pounds of dry pet food plus cans and treats. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
"Don’t cry, mother, if they can’t find my body. What would you do with my body? It’s just an expense: search, transportation, and burial." An animated film is inspired by a letter allegedly found on the body of someone who drowned in the Mediterranean Sea due to the prevailing cynical politics of our day. While we may not know of the truth behind who wrote the letter, we do know that what it depicts is real. This reality cannot continue. ️ Click link in bio for the full film
In 2016, more than 20,000 people were rescued by the medical humanitarian organization Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF).
There must be safe, legal alternatives for those desperately escaping poverty, war, and instability. People seeking refuge must be welcomed in a dignified, humane manner.
"What is your favorite part of your time in PANDOO Foundation?"
"I always look forward in meeting our team and all the people in Pandoo Foundation from the staff down to the kids since they make our duty hours enjoyable and fun." _
Thank you for sharing, Aureen! You guys made our days extra special too...and I think our kids feels the same way too. Our volunteers and interns are awesome, don't you think? #pandoofoundation
"It's not about just moving out of homelessness but moving into recovery."

___Neither heroes nor saints, we have decided to help people in difficulty, isolated, excluded: all the left-behind of our society.
Become a volunteer, the richness of the heart:
Of course, you do not become a volunteer to get rich. On the other hand, it is a whole other wealth that the volunteer finds. The one that is in a smile or in a grateful look.
We want to say a goodbye and a big thank you to our @yorkuofficial summer interns. @aibakyt_ inspired others with her passion for gardening, @anmol_yag took initiative to fundraise on behalf of Shanti so she could introduce more health workshops, and @sabrinafields worked tirelessly weekends and evenings to ensure our teen programs ran smoothly. They all brought their unique personalities and enthusiasm to the work they did. They will be dearly missed by the staff here in Uganda. "Thank you Shanti Uganda for the most incredible 3 month internship experience. I am very grateful for this opportunity and I have learned so much by living and working abroad. One of my favourite things about Uganda is the sense of community; so many people have become a part of my family as I have become a part of the Shanti Family." -Sabrina Fields, Summer 2017 Intern

The outfit to go with the shoes. Off to Uncommon Threads. "Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone's life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance."
still in the very early stages , but trying to figure out the main niche focus of our non-profit as well as the feasibility (we dream big a lot ) , currently trying to figure out if actual service projects or fundraising is the way to go (or a combination of both) , our tentative main goal is to find a way to provide at risk youths with an avenue of personal development and skills development focused around outdoorsman ship and mechanical projects (aka the stuff us overland guys and gals do all the time) if anybody is interested in helping or can provide some insights we'd greatly appreciate it, also please like, comment, and share this post if you know someone who loves their expeditions and is looking for a way to give back to their local community
