"I volunteer for a shelter for victims of sexual and domestic abuse. I believe in reproductive freedom not for just for me, but for the women I work with. Women who have been violated, women who are scared, women who are angry, women who are in unbelievable pain. I’ve watched women, who have just endured incredibly horrific experiences, have to turn around and continue to fight. Fight antiquated court systems, fight arcane laws, fight a stigma and an environment who shames them. People who are in these worst situations don’t need another battle in their lives. They need compassion, understanding and to find peace. Whatever their peace may be." #RamsPlan#PlannedParenthood#VCU#StudentsSpeak

Imagine yourself being responsible for the legalization of 59,000,000 murders. In 1973, Norma McCorvey (otherwise known as Jane Roe in the infamous Supreme Court abortion case Roe vs. Wade) fought for the women of the United States to legally abort their unborn children. And she won. She was a feminist, a lesbian, and an activist of liberalism in politics, schools, and media. She loved this cause with fanatical zeal until the most important day of her life. The day she met Jesus. In 1994, a group of pro-life women presented her the Gospel. Norma McCorvey accepted Christ in a puddle of tears at the feet of her "opponents". Years later, she called her work for abortion rights, "The biggest mistake of my life." She turned from her lifestyle and reformed her identity in God's truth. But more than that, she wrote "I am dedicated to spending the rest of my life undoing the law that bears my name." The lesson is this: There is NO sin too big for God's forgiveness. There is no evil in your life that God cannot repair. We have a God who can turn hate into healed, broken into beautiful, and monstrous into magnificent. So, if you've walked away from morality. If you're living in rebellion to God's truth. If you're pride is keeping you from being restored. Come back. Come back to the Redeemer of your soul. Come be forgiven. Come to the only One who can give you eternal life. You are loved and you are valuable and your Father is waiting for you. Norma died one week ago today. She's with her Creator in Heaven.

"As a mother of 4, my mom had an abortion in between me and my older sisters. She believes in reproductive rights and that if you can't give the baby a future or guarantee the health of the baby, then abortion is a way to go. Having the right to choose around the early 90s, she was able to work and make a better home before having two more children." #StudentsSpeak#VCU#PlannedParenthood#RamsPlan
"Reproductive freedom means that one is able to claim the gift of sexuality (procreative or not) while not surrendering control of one's future. Reproductive freedom means that one can make informed, mature and forward looking decisions that protect their bodies (and their partners), allow them to pursue educational, vocational, or personal goals, and claim ownership of their bodies. Reproductive freedom means that both the means and information to make informed decision are available and affordable." #RamsPlan#PlannedParenthood#VCU#StudentsSpeak
We've teamed up with Spin the Night for a special fundraiser event at Pops Bar on March 15th to help raise awareness for 3 charities dedicated to defending and protecting naturalized civil rights for all: the #ACLU, the #SierraClub and #PlannedParenthood. Also looking forward to having local selectors Jimmy B and Jesse Sizmo joining us for the evening.

Today work granted my team a day off due to our overtime and hard work over the holiday season. I spent the majority of my day indulging myself - lunch and manicures with a girlfriend but took the time to #PayItForward to my local #PlannedParenthood. As a small token of my gratitude for their hard work and all that they do for both women and men, I brought them #DunkinDonuts donuts and munchkins. I also donated both in my name and Mike Pence's name (lol) to Planned Parenthood. Emailed congress and called my senator. Find out other ways you can get involved by going to istandwithpp.org. It really doesn't take much time but your voice can make a difference! Can't stop fighting the good fight 🏼 #IStandWithPP
At a time when women's rights and access to healthcare are at risk, here's a fun way to support an organization that is one of the nation's leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care for women, men, and young people, and the nation's largest provider of sex education. My best buddy's show !! All proceeds go to PLANNED PARENTHOOD!!! Come tomorrowwww !!!! #plannedparenthood#benefit#mellocomedic

Yes, I'm a beginner at the "on camera" thing but I promised myself I would take the leap and try not to think about having my age being a "thing". Hey @ohbabushka and @druckerinst#monday happened! Everyone keeps saying that 50 "something" is the new 30 "something" but what's wrong with "something" being the new "something" ??!! I keep telling the women around me, who gives a shit and finally had to put my $$ where my mouth is. I'm so glad I did it for a good cause #plannedparenthood Head over to @twisturspirits Insta to see the video or to our Facebook for the video in it's entirety!

my forever-favorite color: bruise. to all the ladies that I love (so all ladies): proactive health is strong health. get to know your boobs! squeeze em, wiggle em, love em, learn em ~ and most importantly, make time for them. if something feels off, don't wait, ask. it's scary, I get it...but do it! visit the internet, dm me (srsly), go to your doctor or stop by planned parenthood. we'd all be happy to teach you#breasthealth#boobs#plannedparenthood #(.)(.)
It's #monday and we promised ourselves that we would give you a little more FaceTime on some of our posts! What better way to live up to our word than plugging #foodfare2017 in support of #plannedparenthood#losangeles. They are expecting record crowds this Thursday and we are so excited that we are taking part in such an historic event! To think that it's humble beginnings were Julia Child doing cooking demos! We will be featuring our Pineapple Rum Punch since the Pineapple is a symbol of hospitality and is an invitation to visit and share in food and drink! P.S.you can watch the video in it's entirety on our Facebook page: Twist Your Spirits. Hey @loliturner can't wait to see you!
