Buddhist Nuns in Burma. Funny, probably due to local primitively customs & belief; I was told in the local community n society, nuns are not being treated equally as devoted Buddhist in this Buddhism majority country (it has been a featured article in NGeo by journalists). They are incredibly sensitive to cameras and you have timed their visit during morning, captured unnoticed via a flipping rear LCD screen waited by the roadside.
A family friend from Mawlamyaing came to visit and brought some ခ႐ု/ Balitong/Obtuse Hornsnails/ Cerithidea Obtusa/ Gastropod Mollusk/ Mud Creepers!
It took me 1 whole evening to get rid of the mud and I had them soaked overnight in salt water.
Chopped off the coney tips once they're clean and then boil them in readymade Tom Yam paste and water, threw some cubed onions, diced galangal and lemongrass stalks.
When the shells are cooked, I threw in some kaffir lime leaves, diced green chilli and coriander.
Bon appetite to me!!
