Switzerland goalkeepers are now training in special glasses made by VisionUp company
Head Coach Vladimir Petkovich now tries to "upgrade" his goalkeepers. Swiss Football federation bought three pairs of stroboscopic glasses from Japanese company called VisionUp 357£ each.
This glasses imitate slow and fast motion during the training. Depending on the mode they are in they can slow or fasten the ball in the eyes of a player or even make a temporary blinding effect, all this to make eyes react much faster on the original speed. Also, as the company states, there is another reason to use such glasses, they will be slowing the process of your eyes getting older letting them be more sharp for longer time.
This is a revolutionary step for football. In the future there are plans to improve movement reflexes, as well as the vision. #swiss#switzerland#football#soccer#ball#new#future#tech#technology#wow#sport#sportnews#visionup#japan#technews
now let's switch gears and check out the future of glass - some of you may have seen this, but check out this glass 3D printer made by the MIT Media Lab, Glass Lab, and Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2015 - called the G3DP. It uses a small crucible to heat and extrude molten glass into a kiln - pretty ingenious how the whole tiny furnace moves to direct the flow of the glass. The nozzle is made from alumina-zircon - same material an orifice ring is made of on an industrial furnace (where the gobs exit). They use an optical glass formula for maximum clarity, and hope to use the technology for many science, engineering, and art applications! Wild! Tech Tip Tuesday!
Post 362. *eye roll*
My nail technician said that this was top two (number one next week) on the list of things that bugged the girls at the salon. Well, SHOOT! I had to inform her that it bugs the other clients as well. Please be courteous of others you are working with, working for, or the people that are kind enough to provide a service to you. We have to live on this planet together. Courtesy counts! Please finish your conversations before you enter a public place. Speaker phone is great for business calls, and in your car...when you're alone...and please inform the person on the other line that they're on speaker phone.Mrs. P #manners#etiquette#tech#technology#cellphone#cell#speakerphone
