This boy has come such a long way in his 4 years of being an uncle! He used to get annoyed and angry when they were in his space. He would run away agitated quite often. He would get overstimulated from the extra squeals and pitter-patter of little feet.
He's grown into the uncle role though and is so loving towards his nieces! He'll pretend to be the Beast when one little girl wants to dance in her Belle dress. He'll let them snuggle with him on the couch during movie time. He runs slow when they are attempting to play tag with him. And he is the best at making them all laugh.
They really do adore Uncle Doug #overcomingobstacles#seetheablenotthelabel#autismisbeautiful#uncledoug
Visited my uncle today after a life saving surgery at St Vincents, Melbourne, now transferred to Echuca for Rehab.
On a funny side, he asked me if i bought my jeans with holes in them and said i hope you got a good discount. Haha. So he is feeling better and still quick witted.
Uncle Doug was thankful the doctors could save his life, he would have had 12months otherwise.
He talked about Hope, and faith. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. "(Hebrews 11:1) #uncledoug#favouriteuncle#sorryunclewally#sorrytoouncletom#haha#mygodfather#echucarehab#faith#hope
Dinner tonight with my uncle Doug! He's not grumpy or mean, he just looks that way! He's actually one of the softest most loving guys that would do anything for you! I love him to death! Thanks for joining us tonight! . #uncledoug#warmansaskatchewan#ilovemyallmyuncles

Inheritance #crocs - #uncledoug impacted my life in so many ways, I looked up to him and loved him... we both have a passionate dislike of socks! Crocs supports my need for easily disposable shoes and allows me to enter places with the no shirt - no shoes - no service policy in place... Among my crocs this is now my most treasured pair!!! I will miss you often, love you daily and never ever forget you!
This is my Uncle Doug... Uncle Doug taught me to ride my bike. We would sit every Sunday afternoon and read a fable. Just one, every week. He showed me how to plant seeds and then transfer the beautiful blue forget-me-not flowers into the ground beside the swings. Uncle Doug Made me a bamboo fishing rod with string so I didn't feel left out amongst my brothers who were fishing on the Thames. Uncle Doug gave me many amazing memories to cherish, and that I will do. R.I.P Uncle Doug I will miss you very much xXxXx #rip#aesopsfables#uncledoug#family#remember#memories
