Support Planned Parenthood with us this Fall 2017 here on campus! Our first General Body Meeting is next Tuesday, August 29th, at Pensacola Board Room 222 in the Student Union at 5pm! #WeStandWithPP#ppgaucf#ucfknights
Planned Parenthood gets plenty of attention from our elected officials, just the wrong kind. Most of that attention is given by older white men, that don't seem to have a grasp of what women need and want. I wanted to portray Planned Parenthood as the organization that women want and need. An organization that I use regularly. *They serve over 2 million men and women throughout the United States. *They offer prenatal and adoption services to women, not just abortions. *They provide life saving screenings against cancer, HIV and STD's. *For a large percentage of the women that utilize their services, these are the only doctors they will see. *The women and men that work in the clinics face high amounts of hostilities and threats on a daily basis, yet they know they are doing good work.
I want my elected officials to know that I stand with Planned Parenthood. I will continue to stand for them. I also want my elected officials to know that I'm not alone. #westandwithpp#plannedparenthood#gishwhesrights#womensrightsarehumanrights#istandwithpp

Can we make #FabulousWomenFriday a thing? I just found mine: Faye Wattleton, the first woman of color and the youngest ever president of @plannedparenthood. She is credited with catapulting the organization into political engagement and expanding healthcare services (via Wikipedia). She's incredible and I'm boosting up her words today!
We could not be happier to sponsor this wonderful event in support of Planned Parenthood.
Join us for an evening of bingo, prizes, food, beer, and music!
Purchasing tickets in advance and early arrival are highly suggested. Tickets on sale now.
EDIT: 1: some of y'all are saying "oh no the babies1!1!!1!!1" "abortion is bad1!1!!1" but by defunding planned parenthood, so many more people (including babies and mothers) will die from not receiving proper healthcare, so defunding it will kill more than abortions do.
2: condoms don't always prevent pregnancy, they also prevent STD's. By not supplying condoms, more people will die and be harmed from STD's. STD's aren't a "repercussion" for sex, they are a scary thing that sometimes occur and planned parenthood helps prevent and treat them! And what if people want to have sex without children? Why can't we teach our children that just because you want to have sex that you have to have it unprotected. Many married people use condoms as well as unmarried, so condoms are not necessarily promoting "sinful sex". 3: it's not your fucking body, it's not your fucking business
