There is something about drinking black coffee surrounded by the sounds of nature that is completely grounding, but at the same time - uplifting. Today I am starting my day with a feeling of gratitude for all of the cool places that my yoga teaching has brought me. Not only do I get to share this service with others, I also get this morning view! What?!
House of Experiences... when you start doubting why you wait till your fresh washed clothes dry, 'cause they get wet in 5 min on yoga class...when you skip cleaning your mat since the whole yoga room is full of dirt and the wind just make them dance in the air... when you realize that the only way to survive savasana is to conpletely switch all your senses since 6 flies are walking on you at the same time.
Yoga Retreat, I love you as you are
Practise for today, not for yesterday
A simple yet great piece of advice from @larugayoga that I think to myself every single day before I do my asana practice. Sometimes the postures come easily and you feel supple and strong. Other days everything is a struggle. It's especially easy to compare your practice day to day in Ashtanga since we do the same postures everyday.
But our bodies and minds are constantly changing and evolving, they'll never be the same two days in a row. So how could we expect our practice to be the same?
It's much more fun to approach each practice as if you're stepping on the mat for the first time, playful and inquisitive about what your body will do today! No judgement or frustration if it looks different to yesterday, just observing without expectations 🏽 I know it's easier said than done but as a wise man once said... #practiceandalliscoming
