I've completed 30 days and I couldn't be more proud of myself. It has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, track my 'before and after' progress, explore my range of movement in unfamiliar postures and more importantly share my love for yoga.
For those of you who have stepped forward to share words of encouragement and thank me for inspiring your practice, I just want to say that your practice inspires mine too
Did a little thing today.. led a group of rookie firemen through a #yoga#practice 🏽 I have to say, it was one for the books! It was by far one of my favorites to have led, and I feel super grateful for the opportunity. #yogaforall
Att sträva efter balans i livet. Jobb och fritid. Tid med andra och tid med dig själv. Träning och vila. Morot och choklad. Vin och vatten. The list goes on. Det är lätt att dras med och kanske glömma bort den där balansen. Man behöver påminna sig själv. Och det kan många gånger vara hårfint innan man ramlar. Men det är okej att ramla, att inte alltid ha balans. Försök bara påminna dig själv om hur du finner din balans. Ta ett djupt andetag och hitta tillbaka.
The pause before take off can feel like it takes FOREVER! But I finally see lift off, I feel like I've made it past some hurdles in this marathon that is life. I have leaped, I have fallen, I have risen and I have surpassed my pain. It's the pause, the moment before the bandaid comes off where we feel like it's going to be painful. Only to have it be a tiny pain along the way. I have learned to enjoy the pause rather than to be afraid. I took a day of self care today to see our amazing ND @nkrakora_nmd, have lunch with one of my best friends @shekholistic and take another one of my bff's @holly_bomb Yoga Sculpt class. I will rest my head filled with love from others, but most importantly, self love for my mind, body and soul. Day 11 of #Ashtanga2pointO is #Bharadvajasana
This is actually one of my favorite postures! After jumping through take the right leg into half lotus and bring the left leg back so that your calf is on the outside. Twist toward the right while using your right hand to bind with the lotus foot and the left hand places under the lotus knee with the palm down. Separate your legs a bit. They do not need to be close together but actually more widened. Your gaze is toward the back and holding 5 breaths. Jump back and repeat on the other side!
