How are you nourishing your body Animals products are high in calories , saturated fats, processed meat have high amount of carcinogens. If you looking to have a longer life, be healthier, strong , fit , happier , eating plants is the best and most effective choice you can make.
I never love my body as much as after I finish a yoga practice. I'm so grateful for the feeling I get when I flow and connect with my breath and body on such a visceral level. It's so powerful. On occasion, it even moves me to chills or tears.
The health of the mind and body are deeply intertwined. Being out in nature and moving our meat machines just does something to us that goes beyond intellect. It penetrates to the core of what it really means to BE human. We are animals, designed to move and eat natural things around us. But our modern lifestyle is so far removed from what our instinct craves. We now exercise in a room with fluorescent lights and polluted air. Don't get me wrong, I love the gym- I used to work at one! But biking with a video screen in front of you is not a true replacement for the great outdoors.
I know I'm not telling you something new. In fact, you've probably heard it so much it annoys you by now. But in my own life, I find that simply being reminded of these nuggets of wisdom makes a small change in me. We need those constant reminders to take care of ourselves and be better people. For me, yoga changes my whole day. My mood, my eating habits and even sleeping. What is it that you like to do that makes you feel healthier? Can you do it a bit more and maybe outdoors? I've been taking part in the #yogaeverydamnday challenge and I can already see it making a difference. Now it's time for you to challenge yourself in your own way. Your future self thanks you. 🤝
