We're supposed to have sunshine all week this week (I say 'supposed' 'cos you can never guarantee it in Blighty can you). So 'this week, I present a new style challenge to you. You all loved the #blcolourchallenge so now let's try wearing one summery item a day, up to the weekend. It might be flip flops, a hat, a summer dress, shorts, shades, even an ice cream! - anything you wouldn't wear or carry in colder times that challenges you a bit. The only rule is that it makes you feel summery. Tag me and use #blsummerstyle and enjoy #legsout#flipflops#icecream#summerfashion#summeriscoming

The most questionable thing I've said to my kids this weekend (so far). It could so easily be misconstrued
So I need these sunny trousers in my life. Yellow is my favourite colour and there is tons of it about right now. I'd team these cropped trews @marksandspencer with botanical green as I love a bit of bold colour contrasting. Bet you never guessed Soon you'll get direct links to all my style bits 'n' pieces on my new shop page on my blog- whoop. Have you seen my poem by the way? Watch my #instasham ode on my channel, link is where it always is 🏼

Be you, do you, for you.
I've not doodled or coloured for decades but loved doing this. The phrase is from new @Netflix drama #girlboss which I loved. I read the book and this did not disappoint. I've always done me but this whole #fishfingersandgin thing has created a divide and sorry, but I'm over it already. I'm just going to concentrate on what I love and hope that you love it too. Cliche as I may be, I love unicorns, glitter and quotes. I love a tidy house and positivity and hugs. I love posing like a dick and inspiring you all, lifting you up and telling it like it is. I don't know any other way but me and if I'm not your cup of tea, that's cool. I just wanted to recap on who I am to you guys, 'cos sometimes we forget why we follow don't we? It's not about numbers for me, it's about the messages I get saying I've made your day. It's about sharing my life and building a community, it's about pictures that make you and I happy, it's about us. I'm over the bitchiness, it just ain't my thing. Check out my little poem on all this shizz on my channel, inspired my the utterly talented @natashabailie#yougetme#iloveacliche#thebigcheese#loveyourselffirst#womensupportingwomen#unicorns#glitter#coffeelover#instamum
We so easily concentrate on our 'bad bits' and criticise ourselves but what we should do is focus on the 'not so bad bits' and pat ourselves on the backs for everything our beautiful bodies have done. For me, I have conceived, grown, pushed out and fed two kids. My body cycles, stretches, works, hugs, nurtures and loves- go me. So fu*k my floppy boobs that disappear under my armpits when I remove my bra. S*d my belly button that resembles an old ladies ear hole. I am awesome...and so are you. #girlgang#womensupportingwomen#loveyourselffirst#sisterfromanothermister#smokinhot
So Frankie said he couldn't 'capture' his dinosaurs this morning because he 'doesn't have enough energy'. He obviously does (!) but he said that because he has heard me say it, perhaps too often lately. It upset me massively. Our kids are mirrors of us and I don't want him seeing me or himself in this way. I know I should give myself a break as I get stuck in, mix it up, go on adventures and keep fit BUT...but. It sucked a bit. Frankie and I went on a long walk at the weekend and noticed all the bright flowers, the glittering sea...and the dinosaur teeth and snakes, obvs. I hope he breathes in those moments with me more than he does me curling up on the chair and hugging my flat white #blooms#beachlife#toddlerlife#coffeelover#coffeesnob
My girl and I high-fiving over the weekend before we went to a street festival. It may look dreamy here but the day unfolded like this: go to street festival, Frankie hasn't had enough sleep (don't ask) so he cries because there are "big kids" on the bouncy castle and he wants a bag of marshmallows for breakfast but I refuse. Sassie is only happy if she is running around everywhere (cue non stop chasing), and the possibility of @bethsbetterhalf and I finishing a drink is slim to none. We waste a lot of money on half drunk prosecco and beer. We aim to bribe the kids with pizza but end up tag-teaming in chasing the kids / calming them down/ acting like clowns to avoid outbursts while the other wolfs down the kids soggy leftovers. Also this rainbow maxi skirt is a beaut but it is slightly too long to be chasing kids around in, so by the end of the day it had mud marks and kids sticky finger prints across it. Flippin 'eck. #realitiesofparenthood#parentlife#toddlerlife#ownyourstyle#rainbowdress#maxiskirt

Sassie is going through "sleep regression" although I'm wondering if that is just a bull sh*t phrase to excuse kids just being kids. Teething, separation anxiety, a dairy intolerance, growth spurt. You name it, we've supposedly experienced it all in the last few months. Some nights there are no issues at all, some nights I want to punch a hole in the wall. Sometimes I just think, well, c'est la vie. Above it all though, I laugh through it, Neal (@bethsbetterhalf ) and I work as a team and there is wine. #goodjobshescute#realitiesofparenthood#sleepyhead#nuckingfackered
Gosh I miss this place - California. When Neal and I went to LA pre-kids, we fell in love. Not with each other, that was way before, but with the place. We stayed in Venice, a short walk from Abbot Kinney and we had one of those moments as we turned the corner to walk down that wonderful street. You know where you get shivers and time passes in slow motion and you feel like you've been there before? @abbotkinneyblvd was for us, home. The street art, the independents, the colours, the beach life, the margaritas, the coffee, the dogs in cafes, the vintage stores, the smiles, the style, the vibe, the individuality, the people. Brighton, UK where we are now also offers all of this- just without the consistent sunshine! We're so happy here, I love the vibrancy, originality and creativity, plus the fact that you can get any type of food or drink you wish. It's never too advanced or modern or poncy- the food scene here is amazing and so forward-thinking. Earlier this week, I visited @englishsofbrighton who held a chef off to find the best emerging chef. One of my favourites @thesaltroombrighton won. Well deserved. Anyways, my plan now is to return to Cali with the kids and also check out San Fran which I'm told I would love. Why not eh? #dontgiveupyourdaydream#californiaadventure#abbotkinney#wishlist#calaforniadreaming#adventureisoutthere#havetoddlerswilltravel
Anyone else feeling like, 'what the heck do I wear in this unpredictable weather?' It is doing my nut in. But there's a lot to be said for the trusty jeans and top combo that can be mixed up a bit. There's loads of ideas on my blog for @churchillsquare ( http://blog.churchillsquare.com ).
I'm getting ready for festival season but in a very different way to how I used to. It used to be days of partying, no sleep and dancing till I dropped. Now it is about family friendly 'dos that have buggy parks and a crowd that doesn't hate you if your child screams/ tantrums/ demands more ice cream. I'm excited about @funkthefamily in June- set up by a bunch of mums with loads of happenings that really do cater for all the family- really- not just with a bouncy castle but with cool activities that ensure mum, dad and the kids are all thoroughly fun-filled. My choice of styling ain't too different for festivals though. How about this look? I'm thinking the glitter stars are an excellent way to cover under eye bags? #darkcircles#sleepingischeating#mummylife#parentingwoes#festivalmakeup@kellybaldwinnn

Self care; self love as it were...I'm banging on about it a lot lately quite simply 'cos I've needed to practice it more myself and just in case any of you have felt a bit in need too. It's always a working progress but I feel so much better when I care about myself, do more to feed my soul, take pleasures in the simple things and unapologetically concentrate on ME. Yesterday I met a friend for coffee for a couple of hours, today I somehow got both kids to nap simultaneously (I know 🏼), so I sat at the window with a coffee; feeling the light on my face for 20 minutes. The rest of the time, I did house chores BUT I grabbed the time to myself FIRST this time. Tomorrow, I'm going to read a few pages of a book before I open my laptop and I might go wild and eat my lunch without instgramming it p.s. Check ma Pom Pom earrings @theginfox

You know when you're on a flight and, in the event of an emergency, the flight crew tell you to fit your own oxygen mask before you put your kids masks on them? I used to be a bit alarmed at the thought; 'what? See that I'm safe before I see that my children are? No chance'. But then I thought again...'ah, but if I don't look after myself, I won't be able to look after anyone else so I had better start with me'. This my friends, doesn't just apply to a flight does it. It goes for the whole parenting shebang, it works for anyone, it works for life. Because how are we going to cope and succeed in looking after others if we can't look after ourselves first? Don't feel guilty for concentrating on YOU. It starts there. 🏼
So this happened at the weekend. My (not so) little boy turned four. Four. Everybody says it, you hear it all the time but time passes so quickly. Suddenly all the stuff I used to do for him, he can do for himself. He amazes me, he surprises me, he makes me laugh out loud, he teaches me to laugh at myself and at life and he teaches me levels of patience and love that I didn't know were possible. Frankie, my beautiful, kind, funny boy - you are my first born; you taught me how to be a mother. Thank you little man. I adore you to infinity and beyond xxx
Hello May! Are we really on the 2nd already? For me, this month holds three significant birthdays: my step dads, my sons and my husbands. It holds festivals, exciting new work projects and styling experiences. It is the month before we go on our family holiday and four months before Frankie starts school. May is pretty fulfilling. It also holds more sleepless nights and plenty of coffee I'm sure. What does it hold for you?
Thank you April. A month full of blooms, friendship, cycling, beach days, P L A Y and sunshine. The last couple of weeks have thrown up shoddy weather with the odd glorious day but the first half of April was stunningly sunny. More of that please May. #bringiton#mayday#1stofmaytomorrow#treasurewhatyouhave
This is a section of our gallery wall in our master bedroom. I'm really happy with the handpicked art, decorations and tit bits, it makes me smile when I wake up to see it. But it is time to revamp the arrangements on the shelves in our living room. I look at them and they stress me out a bit as they need updating, livening up and modernising. Can you help me by recommending any print, art, ornamental, novelty, treasure, Nik-nak based companies? Please tag your favourite below. I've tagged people I think can help plus some of my interior favourites too #shelfie#interiordesign#interiorandhome#prints#artwork#interiorinspo#gallerywall#happyplace#flamingo

I have to have this bag from @aldo_shoes HAVE to. I spotted it on a recent visit to @churchillsquare to write a blog on this amazing store (check out Churchill Squares website to see my blogs). I mean, there are zebras and blooms in one place. What's not to love? I am very partial to the crazy mish mash prints and patches out right now. #mixitup#bebold#getyourboldon#ootd#musthave
I know I can have what might be considered 'alternative' style at times but how I wish this little girls dress @hm was in my size
What a beautiful day (hey hey)
I'm the king of all time
And nothing is impossible
In my all powerful mind
I tried on these two dresses @oasisfashion for my stepdads 80th birthday next month - the same day as my son's 4th birthday. There's a few years difference there hey! I love the colour of the coral but I'll get more wear out of the yellow plus I'm totally in love with the whole botanical and palm prints out right now. What do you think? Which one?

I've got stuck in today and I've loved it (check out insta stories 🏼). I usually feel like I've got so much to do that I cram in the house chores and a bit of work if nap time allows, taking my focus off the kids. Having fun and heading out seems secondary. Then I think to myself, 'hang on a minute, this ain't right and it feels pretty exhausting'. So before I had time talk myself out of it, We headed out early this morning and had much more fun than washing and cleaning would give us! I feel like I've started the day the right way and, although the house is a lot messier than it usually is, I feel like I've got the energy to do it now and we all feel like we've had a more fulfilling day. I'm definitely going to do this more often. #beakid#notetoself#getstuckin#outdoorlife
I love this and what fantastic words for this Monday morning. Thinking positively is not easy to do, in fact it's really challenging BUT it is much better than the opposite. Many people tell me how positive I am. Many people believe I always am. That's not true and I break down, I admit when things are hard and I have my ways of dealing with it. My success in (mostly) leading a happy life is having the vagina to CHOOSE and make things happen (not the balls- the vag is tougher ). I work on my happiness and our family happiness every.single.day. It is hard but feeling shit is harder. #positivevibes#positivity#positivethinking#yourthoughtsbecomethings#yourthoughtscreateyourreality#miraclemorning#thesecret#mondaymotivation
Hubby and I are having a tough time with our kids sleep patterns AGAIN - between our two tots and their individual issues, busy careers and massive life events this year, mum and dad aren't getting much sleep at all. It is yet again time to take charge of the crap, the strain, our health and balance. We're not ones to plod along and dwell in the tough. Various life events (another tale for another time), have taught us that. SO, we've agreed the only thing we can do right now is give each other time - 'cos we certainly don't have much of that overall- we also know we need to have 'outlets' to balance the crap, off load, relieve stress and up the fun factor. We've written up our 'ideal' weeks of outlets, from exercise to bubble baths to 30 minutes peace alone. All important. We've agreed to practically help each other to make this happen and off we go. Personally, I've factored in more exercise (good news eh @korin_nolan )?..more time to plan meals and eat well - I do try @superchargedclub - and time for simple pleasures such as wandering, coffee with friends, interior design, beach time, balcony time, reading, writing, pampering. Stuff I love that makes me happier and therefore a better parent, I believe. I'm currently sat in @plateaubrighton with a glass of Syrah- on my own - something I've never dared to do until now (but something I now realise I LOVE).
Dare to do people. Plan your 'me time'. Make decisions to do stuff that makes you happy as a family, be kind to each other, make a plan, write it down and fuckin do it.
P.s. I love a bar where the staff taste the (opened) wine first to check its quality (and also- good on 'em)!
P.p.s. My cheeks feel hot #notetoself#bekind#kindnessisfree#metime#alonetime#wineforone#planitdoit#justdoit#syrahqueen#mamametime
I never used to like shirts for the simple fact that I thought I couldn't wear them. Being large busted, they always gaped open at my cleavage and no one needs to see that! However, over the years I've learned that a button down shirt is a wardrobe staple and if you pay for a good quality one, there will be no gaping - you just have one versatile piece that can be dressed up, down and in several ways to make it work for you throughout the year. Sounds like a good investment to me. Check out my blog post on BethanieLunn.com for the five different ways I have worn my @gant1949 pastel pink shirt. I hope you find it inspiring X
Tomorrow I'm @elifkoseofficial from 5-8pm giving free styling advice for spring summer, showing you NEW stock at this gorgeous boutique and helping you establish what works for YOU. If you're near Rottingdean (or even if you're not), pop in and say hi. Ooh you get 10% off too 🏼

I've said before - my daughter is going to hate me as I'll be wearing the same things as her! But style is all about owning your own, expressing yourself, knowing your YOU. My style therefore is playful, boho, cheeky and comfortable. I like to mix up tailoring and hippy chic, colour and print - all to be original; to be me. These Pom Pom hair clips by @presentinthelaine are all of these things. What can you wear this week to break the mould? #whythehellnot#mixitup#findyouryou#expressyourself#pompomhairclips#pompomhairdontcare
