Good morning, it's been 1 year, 300 posts and 500 followers so I think it's high time I introduced myself a bit
My name is Ola and I live in Poznań,Poland with my husband and three children - twins Bruno (almost 5y)and Ada (almost 5y), and Roch (3y). I started this profile because my friend pointed out that I do so many things with my kids and I should share or just document it. Which is what I'm doing, not too systematically but however I manage It has been a great idea because I have met and got to know so many amazing and creative people out there and been inspired in the most fantastic ways. Thank you If you've read that much here are 5 more random things about me.
1.I'm an outgoing person in real life but a total introvert in the social media and internet (how is that even possible )
2. I lived in the States (Bellevue,WA) when I was a kid, where I attended an elementary school and had the most amazing teacher that influenced my whole life with the love for nature, creativity and art.
3.I don't wear makeup
4.Chocolate is my drug of choice
5. I'm an architect (@plplus.pl ) but after 3 years taking care of my children, it's hard for me to find the same joy and creativity in my work. So I'm thinking of something new... That's one long post - thank you for reading and the photo is from 2 years ago but like most moms I'm usually behind the camera not in front of it and this photo is just my favorite.
Sharpie tie dye -
I had totally no idea what we would do with the dyed cloth after we finished - since I didn't know how much my children would do - but they just kept on going and going and my daughter finally said : Mommy this will be our special occasion table cloth Finished table cloth picture tomorrow when I get some sunlight
Sharpie tie dye - for our #getcreativewith fabric challenge we tried out an easy tie dye technique.
All you need is some white fabric, sharpies, plastic cups, rubber bands, rubbing alcohol And some curious kids - and let me tell you this is a process my kids just loved. Even I had to join in so much fun and the effects are beautiful
We received these beautiful picture books from our book exchange partner Natalie @cokencupcakes from Canada. Thank you
They are colorfully illustrated and my children want to read them everyday, learning English as we read.
We even took out our Maps book and tried to find the same landmarks in both books - swipe left to see.
We're in the middle of building a house so this subject is often in my daughter's drawings. On this one there's a slide in a play room she wants to have and we haven't considered yellow but maybe we should
Today was a beautiful day so I wanted to join in with @ohcreativeday and @hidden_egg for the Sunday #4thingsilove train rides - especially when they are the first ones in your children's life
first day of beautiful summery weather - just makes you look forward even more to summer children running around with water guns in their underwear all day
cold beer on your balcony after a long happy day
The picture is of us waiting for the train on a very small train station
Trace monotype or transfer drawing - we also tried a diffrent printing technique where you ink up the plate (well we used paints) ,place the paper and draw on it.
It's a bit tricky for kids because you can't touch the paper with your hands. But as you can see they handled it and had fun experimenting
I have wanted to try this from the moment I saw the beautiful prints made by @kathyhuttonprints
I'm alone with the kids for the weekend so to keep the older ones busy while I bathe the youngest I gave them a task to do: draw your mom. I was amazed by the results - apparently I wear rainbow clothes and there's a bit of dad here too
