Catching up with the 100 day project. This is what we did on Saturday - my kids saw what I was doing and wanted to try it out - so swipe left to see their nature flatlays such a fun activity with kids.
We celebrate names day in Poland. The calendar is filled with names so you know when it occurs. Once it was even more celebrated than the birthday, but the younger generation are leaning more towards birthdays. Now it's just another occasion to get presents and ice cream so everybody's happy
Do you celebrate it elsewhere ?
Traditional Easter palm branches - made by kids ages 5-6. The kids loved it, they used up all the materials I had and wanted to do more and more I even forgot to take a photo from the process
This is a tradition that goes as far as the medieval times here in Poland. For Palm Sunday you would prepare a palm branch to take to the church. Since there's no palms growing around here people would use the first blooming branches which are the willows. They would also add boxwood, crepe paper flowers and ribbons, or whatever they had at home. Easter palms were said to bring a good harvest when "planted" in a field.
