Honest update For the last few months I've been telling myself that I'll "start over tomorrow" or I'll "get back into a routine next week" .
But the reality of it is I've struggled, a lot to stay as active as I was at uni a few months ago. Where I live now requires me to drive almost everywhere. Whereas as at uni I could walk every where which is something I miss
I also had lectures and uni work to focus on and I had a lot more structure to work around. whereas at the moment I'm doing a few shifts at my gym whilst waiting to hear back from other job applications. This just means I've had a lot more free time, especially to think about food and Ive definitely ended up over eating and comfort eating because of it
My body has changed and I have gained body fat, but it's ok because my lifestyle has completely changed and now it's about finding what works for me currently
Looking at these pictures could be disheartening but rather than seeing it as a set back I'm just gunna see it as a starting point. Taking a step back and just realising maybe what I was doing at uni just isn't realistic for me right now has been a big thing which is another reason why I've stopped tracking completely
This is pretty scary for me to share but I want to be as real as I can on here and I want you to know I haven't got it all figured out either, trust me. And I hope this post helps some people who may feel like they've gone backwards with their progress. But I'm no longer setting myself unrealistic expectations, just simply taking each day as it comes #strongnotskinny
Let's talk about the NEW Copaiba🖤
This is one of my favorite products recently! I used it every single day. No joke •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Add 1-2 drops to your tea, juice or water to support your immune and digestive system. It will help soothe and calm the nervous system. I put a drop under my tongue when I'm feeling anxious. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
It also helps promote clear smooth skin and reduces the appearance of blemishes!! I use it combined with my moisturizer and have noticed a huge difference! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
There is so much about this oil that I could talk about and I will(: it's so new and I'm so excited to continue using it for different things!
For our #familydinner tonight, were pulling our a comfort food staple: Meatloaf! I cleaned it up a bit (ok, a lot! ) by using ground turkey in place of beef, protein-packed quinoa over your more traditional breadcrumbs, and add amazing flavor by using Salsa Fresca over basic ketchup. This is one I always plan to have leftovers of, but I never get because Darrell and the kids gobble it all up before I get home from work! One family, one dinner, that's my motto.
