Hi lovlies So, I've made a decision. The past few months this Instagram account haven't really felt like anything else than a struggle. I'm so tired of posting "picture perfect" photos of dishes I wouldn't have created if a camera wasn't involved and spending hours trying to figure out in which order my photos look best in the feed. I've known for some time that I had to make a change - but I haven't really figured out how until now.
I really want to find back to the hobby that I used to love. I want to make it all fun and flexible again. I want to show you the dishes I swear to on stressful days. My everyday matcha latte, my ultimate comfort pasta and my favorite kale + berry smoothie. They might not be as pretty as the dishes that I've used to post here, but they're amazingly delicious.
So from now on my account will be more personal and have a more effortless look, I'll show you more than just what I eat and share whatever's on my mind. I hope that you'll continue to follow my journey
Meal prepping and left overs are my life saveI'm pretty busy during the week with working 50+hrs a week so knowing that I have something quick I can heat up or through together keeps me it easier to eat healthy and stick to meal plan🏻
It's autumn and it's harvest time. We're basically drowning in carrots in my house! But it's all good, because those veggies are marvelous and there are tons of ways to enjoy them! Like this big pot of goodness waiting to be steamed!
Do you like to steam your veggies? It's a quick, easy way to add a ton to your plate. And with the weather getting colder, warm food is always a plus ♡. Chop up whatever veggies you like (we of course went with tons of carrots, broccoli, romanesco and onions). Add the veggies to a large saucepan and poor in 1 to 2 inches of water. Turn the heat to high and wait for your water to boil (keep an eye, burnt veggies are gross ). Once your water's a bubbling, turn it down to medium, cover your pot and let it simmer away. Your veggies should be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. Usually you want to be able to pierce them with a paring knife - but cook to your desired tenderness. You do you baby! 🤘 Serve an enjoy! And don't be afraid to add some of your favourite herbs and spices. This girl always goes for nutritional yeast and dill, but it's all about what you like best.
Wellness is my Way of Life
Quote of the Day. Often we get consumed in the feelings and lose our logical minds. If you are experiencing something in the hear and now, it doesn't mean that this is how it will be for ever.

I used to have an addiction to diet soda... Or at least I thought I did 🤔|| What I've come to realize is that it's actually the carbonation that I crave! || Little Changes, Big Difference
Post run/weights recovery meal!
I always listen to my body and when I experienced some twitching in my biceps for 2 days, I thought I needed another dose of meat! Twitches, spasms, weakness can often be signals your body needs a nutrient(s). 2 cups of Fresh Spinach and Kale
1/4 lb Organic Grass Fed 90% lean ground beef
sautéed zucchini, squash, red onion, garlic, red bell peppers, and mushrooms .. seasoned with oregano, Pink Himalayan salt, black pepper a little oven baked sweet potato topped with Fresh Basil
I added some spicy mustard for a kick!
Tip#9: Attitude. Having a positive attitude impacts how your day goes. It's a moment by moment choice. Things don't always go as we plan, but we have a choice how we respond to those things. We can be mindful of reality, while still seeing the silver lining or we can be negative and set the tone for the rest of our day. And if you think your attitude only impacts you and how you feel about things, you really need to rethink it. People are watching and listening to the things you do and say and the way you act. Once again, we have a choice of the impact we want to make on others as well as ourselves. #nationaloptimalhealthday#healthjourney#attitudeofgratitude#yourebeingwatched
Had to buy food today because I slept through my alarm... I got a bagel BELT (Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato) on a 12 grain bagel and a coffee from Timmies. Not the best for me, but for what's available on campus, not bad. I got some bad news yesterday so I'll probably end up caving and buying something sweet today to cheer myself up.
