I am naughty. I skipped Day 16 #moveyourbody#30daychallenge. Then I almost did a repeat because of my 4 ounces of rosé last night. But alas I did my favorite yoga YouTube video at home. If you ever just want to work on your yoga practice in the privacy of your own home or you don’t want to spend the money on a class, consider doing a video like this. Of course it’s really helpful to go into a studio because the instructor will correct your body and show you the correct alignment and show you how to safely do yoga. But I still really love doing and it at home too because it’s so convenient (just take it easy if you’re a beginner so you don’t pull any muscles). At home yoga is rad because you don’t have to commute anywhere, it’s easy to fit a yoga mat almost anywhere...even in a small living room like mine, you can put your own music on (#tupac) light some candles and your best incense and if you feel self-conscious in anyway you can build your confidence until you’re ready to go to class. I LOVE YOGA. if you have yet to try it please give it a chance. The more you do it the more your body will yearn for it. If you’re just wanting to join us on our 30 day challenge please do - it doesn’t matter that we are halfway through it, you can just start today. I’m trying to encourage myself and all of you to move our bodies almost every single day if possible. And if you skip a day or a few days don’t feel guilty... this is a fun challenge! Just get back on the train! I’m sending you all love. Look in the mirror tonight and tell yourself you are beautiful. Even if you don’t believe it at first just say it and look in your eyes. We all have a beautiful soul so you can learn to remember - that you are beautiful from the inside sand out. We are so much more than our outside beauty anyway. Weekend road trip:
Taco Bell veggie power bowl with lettuce, black beans, pick de Gallo, seasoned rice and avocado (hold the cheese) .
We're hooked on peanut butter/banana sandwiches on vegan seed bread (not pictured).
Visited the Blu Jam Café in LA for brunch with friends! We both ordered the vegan tofu Reuben sandwich and it was blah. Just a wet slab of tofu slapped between two pieces of soggy rye bread with extra sour kraut. Friends ordered meat dishes which looked divine! They enjoyed their dishes much more than we did lol, but the ambience was pleasant and the staff are very personable. A quaint, hipster spot for sure. It was worth a try, but if we go again we definitely won't be ordering from the vegan menu. .
Dinner at home:
Reconstituted veggie-meat stir fry with bell pepper, mushroom, broccoli and onion with veggie gravy...mmmmmm....so good! .
I can't believe how much our faces have changed and how much energy we both have!! .
