More and more of us are starting to understand that mindfulness could be a useful tool for us. But we are often so busy that it can be hard to find time to sit and be. When teaching mindfulness to my clients, after practising in-session I will often describe how it can be applied to other experiences and not just breathing. This is a great resource that explains mindfulness practices in an accessible way.
Take time to connect with your body. Do you know what it feels like when your muscles and bones are properly nourished and hydrated?
Take time to connect with your breath. It can tell you what's going on in your mind and body.
Take time to disconnect from your mind. This will allow you to feel, instead of do, do, do.
Take time, because it's all connected.
Massage and Yoga can help you connect with yourself at a deeper level.

#tuesdaytransformation post is not about me today. It is about who we were and who came before us. These images are of The Pictographs of the Algonquin made of Red Ochre and Animal Oil. Used by Shamans as healing, visual quest and prophecy these 250+ pictographs depict human, animal and abstract figures. @culinaryconcrete and I paddled our way to this enormous and powerful cliff and came face to face with these images. The energy was intense and the message very clear. Although we have transformed as humans we must not forget who we once were and where we once came from. We must not get ahead of ourselves and go back to basics and remember our teachings. We sure do know how to complicate our lives #backtobasics#history#lifelessons#groundyourself#taketime#remember#mazinawlake#mazinawcliffs#mazinawpictographs
Can we slow down enough to actually experience ourself and this life? Can we bring our attention to what's possible and what wants to be, rather than just focus on what is?
This is the special sauce for offsetting the brain drain that comes from multitasking...insert this practice (can take a nanosecond) before you transition into your next task. 🦄
